The alarm starts going off-
"Come on you know you need to get up I already reset the alarm twice now so you've had 30 minutes extra meaning the kids are now needing to be woken up" Ronan says to her. "Just another 10 minutes come on please" Lucy replies sleepily. "No you need to get up Lulu we need to get going so we can head off to work you know you can't be later Officer Chen" he says to her in a joking tone as he emphasizes how he's used her maiden name he knows how much that annoys Lucy when he uses her maiden name instead of his last name.
"Hey it's not my fault that I can't use our name" She shouts back at him. "I never said you couldn't you were the one who decided it would get you special treatment which you didn't want he replies at this point he's just teasing her. "And once again it's not my fault that my husband is the famous FBI Captain Houston." She says back to him while closing her eyes again. "Mhm maybe someday you'll be as good as me but you first need to get up so you can have a fighting chance," he says chuckling as he chucks one of the pillows at Lucy's face to make sure she's awake which she effortlessly catches and gives him a dirty look as he starts to make his way across the room to the doorway.
"Daddy" Ivy calls out of her room. "Coming" he says smirking as he leaves Lucy who's slowly getting out of bed and making her way to Charlie's room to get him up. When she arrives at the door she knocks. "Buddy it's time to start thinking about getting up" she calls in respecting her son's wishes of privacy as she knocks again hoping he'll answer. She gets a sleepily reply "can we have waffles". "Yes we can I go and start those now unless you need anything" she calls back. "Nope" he bluntly replies before adding "It sounds like you need you coffee this morning". Earning an annoyed sigh from Lucy seeing her son catch on to her husband's humour about her and her morning coffee.
"Good choice buddy Mummy does need her coffee today" Ronan calls across the hall in a teasy mood. "Your so funny" Lucy sarcastically replies as she makes her way to the kitchen. "Here I'll make the waffles" Ronan calls to Lucy. "NO" both of the kids shout which makes Lucy giggle. "What why not" He replies. "Because you burn everything" Charlie replies as he exits his room and gives his Mum a hug shortly followed by Ivy agreeing with her brother.
"Something smells good" Lucy hears someone say as Ronan joins the rest of the family in the kitchen. Lucy continues making the waffles before hearing another voice peep up but not the one of the radio they currently had on. "Mummy look at the race car track Dad got me" Charlie says to her. Lucy feel her body start to flame as she feels her anger build up towards her husband. "It's very cool" she says as she turns round and smiles at him before giving her husband another dirty look he was certainly pushing it with her this morning.
"I think your in trouble Daddy, I think your pushing Mum's buttons" Charlie says to Ronan and he giggles nervously in reply to his son's comment. "Mummy" Lucy turns round to face her little girl. "Yes Ivy" she replies trying to make sure she doesn't let the waffles burn. "I feel sick" she hears Ivy say and starts to worry as Ivy was sick four days ago with a stomach bug and had a cold last week she shouldn't be sick again not yet.
"Sick how" she says concern filling her face as she sees her husband sit up in his seat turning his attention to his daughter. "You were only sick a few days ago what's wrong now" Ronan says to her the concern clear in his voice as he makes quick eye contact with Lucy. "I feel sick in my stomach" she replies to him. "I'll get you some medicine and we'll see if that helps" Ronan says as he stands up. "I'm sick" Ivy replies but neither of them hear what she says as Ronan is too focused on getting her medicine and Lucy too concerned with the worries and thinking of the possibilities of what sickness her daughter could possibly have now. "What was that swe-" Lucy says to her quickly releasing her daughter had said something to them but before she can finish Ivy's thrown up everywhere. "Shi- I mean shoot" she says correcting herself before her kids hear her swear, as she turns off the waffles as they're done anyway and quickly makes her way to her daughter she would have brought in the bucket or big bowl they have for the kids when they're sick but it was already too late.
