・°☆ ·˚ ˚ˑ♡‧˚ real lifeLeaving the gym after meeting the UConn women's basketball team was a trip. I couldn't stop replaying the interactions in my head.
I always get super nervous about first impressions. I am excited about the team dinner tomorrow night, but right now, I just wanted to get back to my condo and chill.
I decided early on that dorm life was absolutely not for me. Roommates? No thanks. I needed my own space, so I found a decent 1 bedroom condo off-campus. It wasn't far from the university.
Unlocking the door, I stepped inside and sighed with relief. The condo was still mostly empty, boxes scattered around the living room, waiting to be unpacked. I set my bag down and looked around, thinking about how I wanted to decorate.
"Alright, let's get to it," I said to myself, grabbing my camera to film a vlog.
Even though I was a college student, I did social media on the side and had built a small following. Sharing bits of my life with them was something I loved doing. I set up the camera and hit record.
"Hey guys it's Selah, welcome back to my channel! So, I just got back from meeting the UConn women's basketball team, and let me tell you, they are amazing! I've got a lot to unpack and set up, so I thought I'd take you along for the long ass journey this is going to be. Soooo let's get started!"
I spent the next hour unpacking and filming, telling the camera about my move, my new role with the team, and my plans for the condo. It felt good to share this momen with my supporters.
After finishing up the vlog, I sat down on the couch and grabbed my phone to check my notifications. To my surprise, I had a few new followers on Instagram and TikTok. Curious, I opened the apps to see who they were.
"That was fast," I thought as I scrolled through the notifications.
Nika, Ice, and Azzi had all found me and followed me, which made me happy. It was nice to feel welcomed by the team. But the one that shocked me the most was Paige. Not only had she followed me on Instagram, but she also followed me on TikTok. I quickly followed them all back.
After sitting on my futon for a bit, I decided to go live on TikTok because I was bored. It had been a while since I did a live, and I wanted to catch up with my supporters.
