As Mannat started crying Nayan tried to console her when he saw Aayansh running towards her.

Aayansh called her "Mannat can we talk once"
Mannat turned her face towards Nayan and didn't say anything.

Aayansh again said "Mannat can you please listen to me before deciding anything"

Mannat just said without turning over "Nayan we should go back to the lab"

Nayan leaned towards her and said in her ears "Are you sure you are not gonna regret this?"

Mannat looked in his eyes and turned to Aayansh "I am listening"

Aayansh ignoring her statement said "When did you start talking to this silent scholar?"

Mannat replied "He is Nayan and l don't think that's important to you just say what you want to"

Aayansh looked at her and said "Mannat me and Ashi are just good friends"

Mannat mocked "Not bestfriends"

Aayansh replied "What about you and Rehan?"

Mannat replied "We have talked about this before"

Aayansh said "We should again, there us a lot we have not talked about"

Mannat replied "Aayansh can we just not argue!!"

Aayansh said "And honestly l am confused what is there between us I can't understand and our past...if something is broken once it can't be fixed"

Mannat replied "Aayansh you know what l feel right... if you hate me i accept it if you are happy with Ashi it's okay be happy just I need time"

Aayansh said "We are good friends right?"
Mannat replied "We should talk later"

Mannat turned to Nayan and gestured him that to go with her.

They both went upstairs and when they entered the lab Souvik sir asked them "Where were you for 20 minutes?"

Nayan replied "Sir we went to keep some manuals for Avijit sir"

Sir nodded his head and they went to their places.

After a few seconds Aayansh entered and Souvik sor asked him the same question and he made an excuse and said "Sir actually Coach has called me for something"

Souvik sir replied "You can also focus on academics l think Aayansh"

Aayansh just went to his place and stood behind Nayan and Mannat.

Some rules had been discussed and now lab coats for class 11th with I'd were being distributed.

Aayansh pinched Mannat from behind and murmured her to step back so that they could talk.

Mannat just ignored him and kept talking to Ananya.

Aayansh kept whispering sorry but she never payed attention.

Mannat and Ananya got their coats and wore them and Aayansh whispered something from the back but Mannat kept ignoring him.

After few minutes Aayansh went closer to Mannat and adjusted her collar to which Mannat was surprised and looked at him while he said "You were not listening to me so l had to do something about it"

Mannat mumbled "Annoying" and said "I can do it"

As Aayansh received his coat and he wore it girls were eyeing him and some of them were just staring at him.

Aayansh thought something and looked at them and smiled and Mannat saw it.

As he turned Mannat glared at them but didn't do anything.

The experiment started and they had to study and dissect plant parts.

Ananya had gone to submit her pending assignments so Mannat started the work.

She dissected the leaf and was writing the observation when Nayan leaned towards her and said "Hey can you help me"

She turned and was startled as he was close and looked at his hand which was a bit cut.

She said "Nayan were you playing!!"

She went to sir and got the disinfectant and ointment and started cleaning the cut.

Nayan's classmates from behind were hooting when Aayansh glared at them and made a punch sign.

After applying ointment she went near him and showed him to dissect from where and how.
After Mannat was busy in her own work Nayan's bestfriend came forward and asked him slowly "Nayan you don't know this seriously!?"

Nayan replied "I have to keep making excuses till l can talk to her without them"

Aayansh heard all this but couldn't do anything as he saw Mannat laughing with Ananya still her laugh didn't sound assuring and real.

Aayansh thought "I need to talk to her"

Flashback to when the practical was starting

Ashi had texted Aayansh yesterday that she wanted to talk about something.

She had an off period during his first practical so he had decided to talk to her then.

They met on the stage near the ground and
she said "Aayansh l think l like someone"
He replied "Yash?"
She looked at him quite shocked and said "You know?"
He replied "I have eyes"
She replied "I can't talk to Mannat it's her brother and l don't want to lie to my parents either"
He said "Did you confess?"
She replied "What of he doesn't like me? What if he just leaves me after sometime?"
He replied "Ashi you are like my cute lil sis l will protect you no matter what but you have to stop overthinking"
She replied "Aayansh l am scared l have never liked someone but l have seen my bestfriend crying immensely in pain because of love"
His heart stopped beating for a second and he held her hand seeking assurance "Because of me?"
She looked at him when Mannat arrived....
