"The master has forbidden you from going outside, sir." Someone stepped in his way. Aging yet sharp, Lorenzo placed a hand in front of him, stopping him from further venturing out.

"Sorry...?"

"You have a rather serious leg condition," Lorenzo shook his head, "going outside in such horrible, blazing weather might prove to be fatal to you. I suppose you forgot—" His face took on a pitying tone, "—because of your amnesia. You see, the master only wants the best for you."

Legs? Y/n looked at his legs. They were bandaged, all right. And Felix...he was his loving husband. Why would he ever lie?

"Oh," Y/n deflated, frowning, "but I'm so frightfully bored. What about a phone?"

"Yours broke during the accident." Lorenzo's lips pressed into a straight line.

"Then—then, a new one?"

"That is up to the master to decide, I believe. You will have to ask him when he returns." Lorenzo sighed.

"So what do you even expect me to do? You won't even allow me to explore half the mansion," Y/n said desperately, "what did I even do last time?" He mused. "Sleep my days away?"

"You liked cooking," Lorenzo supplied.

"I did?" Y/n raised an eyebrow, "but I'm afraid I've lost my memories. I'll—I'll probably set the kitchen on fire, or something."

"Perhaps it's muscle memory." Lorenzo suggested, "would you like to give it a try? We have plenty of cooks to aid you with it."

"Maybe next time."

Setting a house on fire—especially one that his husband had dearly provided for them—did not seem appealing. Y/n huffed as he buried his head into the pillow. He felt bored, then guilty for feeling bored.

"When is he coming back?"

"He'll be pleased to know you asked."

"Yes, but you haven't answered my question." Y/n's words were muffled, "does he usually take so long? He was home yesterday, though."

"Master is a busy man. But fret not, he will take his time out of his hectic schedule to see you." Lorenzo assured, "there are books around the house. Real classics. If you would like, I could fetch some for you."

"My eyes feel like they're about to explode. I don't think I can stomach a book right now...oh wait!" Y/n brightened up, "how about you tell me a story, Lorenzo? Or just fill me in. What was my life like before I lost my memories? Maybe I'll try to remember and act like I did before! I saw some ballet items!" Y/n clapped his hand excitedly. "Was I a ballerino?"
