[ PAST ]

To Y/n's surprise, he found himself actually...getting along with Felix. It seemed that the hostility and animosity had simply vanished into thin air now that Y/n was making a conscious effort to befriend the man.

And besides, Felix had promised — he had promised to let go of Y/n after a month, had he not? So this...yes, this would be alright. Y/n could treat Felix like an equal, for now: Y/n would treat the man normally. Of course, it still felt rather strange to Y/n on why Felix had decided to kidnap him — for a lack of better terms — but Y/n was sure that everything would soon be over. That everything would settle down.

"The ice-cream here is really good," Y/n spooned the last of the pistachio ice cream into his mouth, pushing the small paper cup away, "I guess it helps to pay more for premium desserts. Do you frequent this place often?"

"Occasionally," Felix murmured. His own ice cream was left untouched, with only a small dent in it from the time Y/n practically forced him to try it. "I do not go to this place for things as trivial as dessert."

Y/n scoffed. "You sound as if you've never tasted joy in your life. I bet you've never had a burger in your life."

"...No," Felix said after a while, "no. I'm very particular about what enters my body, and what leaves it. Don't you have a diet, Y/n? You are a dancer, after all. Why are you eating ice cream?"

Y/n paused, irked by his words. Whatever kindness he felt towards Felix shattered at that moment.

"A dancer?" Y/n repeated, amused and yet slightly irritated, "I might have been acting cordial with you, but I have not forgotten the fact that you have taken that job away from me. Albeit temporarily, yes, but if I'm not a dancer now...it means that I do not have to adhere to what a dancer needs to do."

There was a slight twitch in Felix's eye as he gave a cold smile. "I've noticed this, Y/n, but you tend to be rather rude."

And here Y/n thought they were getting along.

"And I've noticed this, Felix, but you tend to be rather arrogant, don't you? You think the whole world revolves around you."

"As a matter of fact," Felix murmured, "I think it does."

This bastard.
