Chapter 9: Calm in between

3rd person's PoV:

Ayame sprint forward with a determined look on her face, slicing every projectile that Roboco-san was sending forward, she then went for a blow once she got into striking distance but Roboco-san was suddenly ok the other side of the arena, much to Ayame's surprise and many more.

"Interesting... She didn't come off as quite the mobile type but she does know how to move quickly." Yuikon said.

"That's our High-spec idol!" Sora cheered out.

"Ayame! Try not to lose track of her!" Subaru yelled out with her megaphone.

Ayame then boosted her physical stats and began moving faster than before. Roboco-san, although not really known for her gunslinger skills, fired some trick shots to catch her off guard.

Due to the unpredictable pattern that the bullets travel due to various projectiles that Roboco-san had previously tossed out, At least a few bullets were able to hit Ayame.

But it wasn't much of a problem, what are a few bullet wounds mean to an Oni? So Ayame tossed one of her katanas in the thrusting motion to lay out a base for her next move.

When Roboco-san was about to catch it, Ayame appeared behind her, ready to stab her opponent, but failed to consider the following; Roboco-san's diverse mechanical body.

Ayame was sent back a few feet back when she was hit by a rocket boosted heel kick. But in return, Ayame was able to land a cut on Roboco-san's face.

The katane continued to fly past Roboco-san until Ayame caught it. She licked the blade, although it had no blood, it gave her a temporary boost.

With enough speed to catch up with Roboco-san, She began going all out with her Katanas but Roboco-san was no slouch in close range as well. She brought out the taser baton that she borrowed from her Genmate.

She switched back and forth with using her gun to her baton whenever Ayame got farther or closer.

"This One's pretty close... It could go either way..." Subaru muttered.

"Maybe... but I think Ayame is getting hit way more than Roboco-san does..." Yuikon said

Roboco-san lashes out a few rockets as Ayame then thrust both her blades forward and then commence a spin attack to conjure a wind attack for burst damage.

The wind current blew the rockets far from her and landed on random parts, which alter the terrain in Ayame's favor. She began to spun around letting the wind form a whirlwind around her as rubble from the rockets was getting picked up and gathering momentum to deliver a lethal blow.

Roboco-san on the other hand stuck her feet to the ground and was shooting anything that was coming in her way, since her gun isn't really using bullets, but instead plasma or energy, depending on what the mode is.

After most of the rubble was cleared off, Roboco-san then shot two plasma projectiles more powerful than usual, which made Ayame take massive damage.

She then prepared for a full-on attack as she then fired out a barrage of missiles and a giant laser. Ayame was fast enough to avoid such an attack and with that, Roboco-san claimed her victory as the crowd went wild.

"And the winner is... Roboco-san!"

"Yeah! She did it!" Sora cheered out for her friend.

"You did well Ayame-chan!" Subaru said.

"And before we move on to the next match.... I'm getting pretty hungry, Lunch time!"

"Ah! You're gonna love the food here! Come, I'll pay for it!" Subaru was the first out of her Genmates to sit up and then grabbed Yuikon to go somewhere to eat.
