Asking the universe to hear my pain
I forgot that
For most
Seeing is believing
Keeping the peace is not the same
As ending war
My body is the battleground
Taking blunt injuries
So I don't leave too many scars
To make everyone else
Feel comfortable in their own skin
While I trap the pain inside
So nobody can hear a sound
Until now
When the internal bleeding
Has finally
Hemorrhaged
Has finally
Pooled into every crack
Bursting open
Hoping the universe will hear it.
