Azias: Oh fuck-

~

So... in case you couldn't figure it out, we were in the middle of not getting caught. Let me, Tarvi, explain.

Pink slipped up about Tuawimal's treatment, which got Forest alerted. So we instantly had to duck and set up the house to make it look like the family was out of the house. However, I put a small note in the kitchen that stated that mom was missing. Oh, that woman was sure to be discovered in her true form.

They found my note while searching the house, which was good. Our mother had some explaining to do. They seemed to think something happened to our dad, which was concerning, but they went after Lime for answers.

I followed them. I wanted to know what she said. I wanted to see what she had become. My mother started losing her sanity after I was born, so it was time to learn the truth. The others chose to leave the topic alone, but I planted that note for a reason.

Upon arriving at mom's workplace, one of the librarians, who was on the second librarian role, let them know that Lime hadn't left since the night dad vanished. My blood practically boiled. Did she even care about him? I continued to follow in complete silence until the duo found her.

My heart dropped.

My mother, who was only a threat when she raised her voice, was curled up in a corner, practically dressed in blankets. Her hair and face were a mess, wounds covered what little body could be seen and her eyes looked lost.

Suddenly, the rage from before melted in me. What had happened? I knew she had left us to fend for ourselves when dad vanished, but this?

Forest got right to the point, asking what she knew about dad and us kids. However, I knew her sanity hadn't returned since at just the sheer mention of my father's name, a practical demon inside her let loose a murderous set of laughs. I narrowed my eyes, unimpressed as Forest then asked about her children, getting quite the opposite response. The laughter vanished before I picked up a faint whimper. That caught me off guard as Forest tried again. Pink, however, intercepted both of them, as my mother had opened her mouth to start screaming.

"Ok. That's enough." She knelt down to the now shaking woman with a soft smile. "Why don't we go, get you nice and cleaned up, and see if we can find them? Huh? Sound like a good idea?" My mother's face had lost all emotion as she swayed, mumbling off into whatever world she had just left to mentally. Pink helped her up and guided her out the door.

However, something weird happened.

I was sure my aura was off. But when they were passing my spot behind the bookshelf, Lime lost it, dropping to her knees and going into a panic. I wasn't able to get the whole spiel from her mumbling, but I did catch one thing.

"Please don't hate me-"

Pink didn't catch that part with how she responded.

"I don't think so-" Her eyes scanned the area as I hid, waiting for them to move. She gulped as she helped Lime to her feet again. "No one's watching us. Come on." I frowned as I silently followed them.

It happened again at their place. She dropped again, this time saying one thing.

"I'm sorry-"

"Shh..." Pink did what she could to calm the female down before Forest clearly felt my gaze.

"Someone's watching us." Pink's eyes darted around as I ducked down. "They've been following us for a while." Pink gulped as my mother wailed again.

"I'll get her inside. Find them."

Oh you think so, auntie? Oh no you don't. I stayed perfectly still, waiting for my beloved uncle to find my hiding spot before my sword was pulled.

"NIGHT CUTTER!"

If I didn't put his ass in the hospital, I don't know what I did. But I at least surprised him enough to escape. I had my answer. Well, something of an answer.

I learned later that Lime lost her mind. As in, she had to get put in a mental hospital with how bad it was.

That was not my fault. I left her ass alone.

But apparently, she kept calling for us. I wasn't satisfied from last time, so I went, finding Forest and Pink trying to calm her down. They eventually left her to her lulu world before spotting me. Pink smiled as she went over, Forest eyeing us from afar.

"It's good to see you..." I nodded as I got a quick hug. "You don't have to see her if you don't want to."

"I... wouldn't be here if I didn't." I kept my voice down, unsure if Forest knew I tried to kill him. Pink nodded before guiding me over to Lime's side. My poor mother knew I was there easily with the aura.

"Tar-tar-tar-tarvi-" Oh, she at least knows I exist. I clearly wasn't trying enough. I went over as she gripped my hand, putting it into a vice grip. Luckily, she had grabbed my right hand, which meant that my sword hand was safe from death. I sighed as I smiled softly at her.

"Hi mom."

Scanned her, she looked a little better than before. Her face was still a trainwreck, but at least she wasn't encased in blankets and her hair wasn't that bad. She trembled as she realized I responded.

"Oh- my sweet child-" Should I respond? She sounded hopeful. "I'm so sorry... I'm so... so... so... so sorry..." So that's what she meant from when she apologized to the air. She meant to say that to her children. But what did she go through to get that from her? "I didn't mean it. I promise." I gave a weak smile.

"It's fine, mom. Rest. You look tired." She didn't take my advice all the way, but she did let me go. I went out before Pink spoke to me. It wasn't good.

According to everything they gathered, my mother started the spiral she was currently in the day after dad was taken. The day after. It may not seem like a lot of time, but just to note, dad had vanished more than a month ago by this point. So she had been spiraling out of control and sanity for over a month. My heart ached from the news.

I spoke to her once more before I left. Well, it was very one sided, but I heard it all.

"Oh... my sweet children... I should've done a better job-" I gulped softly, realizing she knew what she hid from us was wrong. There was nothing I could do though. My only option was to disappear until dad arrived.
