"How is he?"
"Levels are better. Way better than when he first arrived."
"Good..We'll need him at full strength."
"Of course. I'll contact you when he wakes."
"Thank you."
Footsteps echo away as I stir.
Slowly and slightly opening my eyes to peak around, I am quickly taken back by my surroundings. It was a hospital room, clean and orderly. I was now wearing a gown while tubes and wires connected to various bits of my body.
The last thing I remember before blacking out was seeing..Myself..? Wearing the Helmet of Fate. What the hell was I doing with that? Kent would kick my ass. Let alone whatever God he serves.
I watch as the curtains to my room open once more. A masked man steps through the gap before examining the machine to my side.
"Heart rate..slightly elevated but nothing to be concerned about." I hear the man mumble to himself in a huff before continuing with his rants.
"Good fluid intakes."
Before he could continue to rant further, I was quick to get up out of my bed and kick him away. Watching him fly through the curtain. Wasting no time, I quickly begin to remove the wires and tubes from my body and run through the curtain. Looking around the hospital room I could see many other people in the room. All looking at me confused.
"Hey! Wait!" I hear the man shout as I shrug off his words and make way to the exit.
Flying through the door at such speeds causes the doors to fly off their hinges. I come to a holt as I look around the hallway I now stood in.
"Velocity!!" I hear that same voice shout from the medical room.
Exit. Exit. Exit.
I think to myself before taking flight into a random direction of the hallway.
However..I don't make it far before an unseen force causes me to hit the ground, hard.
