________
-CHAPTER 5-
-AGAINST TITANS-
________

NO ONE's POINT OF VIEW.
LOCATION: DANE's SKULL SHIP, THRONE ROOM.
(10 MINUTES SINCE LAST CHAPTER.)

A heavy sigh escapes someone's mouth.

"I admit..it was a valiant effort." Dane's voice coos. And for what seemed to be the first time, he had dropped the laughter and the thirst for battle. The room had received far more damage than before. Blood stained it.

Dane sat atop his Throne. Looking down at the beaten and bloodied Nelson. While not too far from the two, lied the corpses of his former allies.

"Greatly fought. But ultimately futile." The ragged man continues to comment. Adjusting himself on his throne as he continues to look down on yet another alternate version of himself.

Dane noted this Y/N's features however.

This Y/N was old. Aged by normal Mortal standards it had seemed. His hair was long and Y/H/C, while small strands of grey began to appear. Stubble covered his face, whilst multiple notable scars adorned bits of his face as well.

Both Y/N's had seen many battles.

But only one would win them.

"Before I regained my strength. When I laid on my floor weakened, You offered me an accord in exchange for my life." He jaunts, slowly standing from his Throne. Slowly treading down the small steps before finally standing before the broken man beneath him.

"Now I ask you something." Dane began.

"What do you believe you could offer me now, in exchange for your life?" He questions, slowly kneeling down and facing the man.

Through stifled breaths. Nelson slowly faced the man in front of him. Still struck on the fact that both Dane and himself were the same person, in physical feats only.

"The power..The power your younger self has, the one thing you do not have." Nelson explains.

Dane looks down for a moment. Thinking.

"I know what you're talking about. I encountered it during our fight. The eyes..His eyes turned purple, he turned into an animal." Dane explains, continuing to think on the encounter. "Never in my life did I do this. Nor did I believe I was capable. So why? Why him?" The larger man beckons, slowly standing straight up again.

Nelson slowly gains the strength to push himself off of the ground, gradually finding his way to his knees.

"He believes it to be an affliction of Brainiac; but it is not. It is something much more volatile and dangerous." Nelson reveals to the older variant.

"Something that would cancel you both out." He slowly mutters, finally raising himself to his feet. Standing a few feet below Dane.

The two focus into each others eyes.

"So when you ask me what I can offer in exchange for my life..I'll tell you something that can be great for the both of us." He explains.
