Someone sped down the raceway and won yet another race. They removed their helmet and revealed themselves to be Raito Sonozaki, a young up and coming race car driver from New Tokyo Accel City. In the year 2045, giant citywide racetracks have become integrated into major cities on earth. As a result, things like street racing, that would have been illegal in the past are now allowed and have rules to make sure that there is no cheating. Raito was handed his fifth trophy and thrust it high into the air. He had become somewhat of a legend in Tokyo Accel City and was nicknamed the "Speed King".
"Congratulations, Raito!" Shotaro declared
"Thanks." Raito said
The one who had congratulated Raito, was his manager Shotaro Hidari. During the day, he was a private detective who could solve any mystery and bring criminals to justice. By night, he supported Raito in his races and made sure that he got the proper training that he needed. It was at this moment when Raito and Shotaro heard screams coming from the city and raced over there. It was here that they encountered a menacing exhaust pipe themed monster named Burner.
The two working adults placed the Turbo Changer on their wrists and turned the stick which charged it up.
"Turbo Change!" roared our heroes
Our heroes watched as the energy spirits of their individual race cars erupted from the Turbo Changer and did laps all over their bodies. This led to the formation of their ranger suits which features seatbelts in the form of safety harnesses, with the headlights of their individual races cars on their helmets.
"Speed King, Turbo Red!" Raito bellowed
"Speed Demon, Turbo Blue!" Shotaro bellowed
The two heroes then called upon their signature weapons the Turbo Sword and Turbo Gun. Raito being the one to rush into battle ran towards Burner with the speed of one thousand sports cars and jumped into the air, before swinging his arm and slashing at Burner multiple times. Shotaro fired from his Turbo Gun and this weakened Burner. The monster then unleashed multiple fireballs from his exhaust pipes and these exploded around the two heroes. The two partners dashed towards him and sent him flying with a powerful punch.
"Shotaro, time for the finisher!" Raito bellowed
"Okay, buddy!" Shotaro bellowed
Raito and Shotaro combined their weapons to form the Highway Buster and aimed it directly at Burner. The monster charged towards them and our heroes waited for the perfect moment to fire. When Burner was in place, our heroes pulled the trigger and the heads of their vehicles erupted from the cannon in their energy forms. This blast tore right through Burner and he collapsed in a bright explosion.
"Turboranger, victory!" roared Raito and Shotaro
The two powered down and returned to their civilian forms. Raito and Shotaro had been fighting against an enemy known as the Dark Speed Empire for about six months, but they could admit that they needed more rangers. They returned to their headquarters known as the Go-Roader and met up with their assistant Racing Information Communication Operator or RICO for short.
