I woke up around 4:00 am, as usual. The sun wasn't quite out yet, but I didn't care. I needed significantly less sleep than anyone else, after all. I could be awake for about a month at most (I know that from experience). I quietly packed up my things, and then headed downstairs for some food. I knew it was too early for me to order breakfast, so I decided I would steal some food from the pantry. I could faintly hear the Barkeep whistling as they washed the dishes and made drinks and food, but that wasn't the only way I figured out that they were awake and in the kitchen. Let's just say wolves are my favorite animal for a reason... Anyway, I snuck past him and quietly picked the lock on the door to the kitchen. I went inside the room with all the food and stole some food for myself. I made sure that everything I stole would last a while, that way I would have plenty of food on my journey. I stole one bag of biscuits, two loads of bread, one cookie, five things of water, two bags of tea leaves, one empty cup, three dog bowls, six things of dog food, and a little pot to heat up the water. All of this stuff would stay good for about two months, and would stay good for three extra  months if I kept it cold and closed it properly. One bag of biscuits has seven biscuits in it. One water pouch has about two regular-sized cup's worth of water, one thing of dog food has enough food to fill the bowl nine times, and one bag of tea leaves was enough for one cup of tea. I set off towards Westfall, hoping to befriend this lone wolf. Several hours later, long after the sun had risen, I reached the other village there that marks the halfway point on my journey to Westfall. It was about two hours after noon by then, and I was getting really bored. Just as I was about to enter the town, I saw a person race towards me out of the corner of my eye. I felt them take something out of my pocket, and then they raced off into the trees. I grabbed my bow and fired an arrow at them. It hit them, and I bent over and took the thing they had stolen from me back. I figured since they stole from me I might as well steal from them, so I grabbed the cool spiky black collar thing around their neck. I looked through their bag and found an item labeled "More Machine, Now portable!", and took that, too. I then continued on, and a little after sunset I began to see the river that separated elwyn forest from Westfall in the distance. I knew from playing world of warcraft that there are always guards on the bridge, so I hopped across some rocks instead of going across the bridge. I continued walking in the direction of sentinel hill. I got about halfway there when I saw a coyote digging in the sand. It looked like a coyote, but was the size of a wolf. I had the feeling this was the lone wolf in the poster. I carefully approached the coyote and offered him a treat. He sniffed me for a moment and then gobbled the treat right out of my hand. I asked him if he wanted to be my animal companion and he asked what the catch was. "There is no catch. But if you're that worried about it, then you don't have to be my animal companion. It's your choice", I said. The coyote thought about it for a moment, then licked my face. "I take it that's a yes"? I asked, and he agreed. I then asked what I should name him and he said it's up to me "How about Coyot"? I asked, and the coyote wagged his tail and licked my face again. "Coyot it is, then". (How to say: Kiy--oat) Are you up to seeing a few humans, Coyot? I promise I won't let them hurt you, but I want to let them know their wolf problem is solved. If you want to stay behind, that's fine, but please be careful, all right? I would never forgive myself if something happened to you, friend. Coyot licked my face. Okay, you can come with me, but I think I should put you on a leash. It's only temporary; it's just so they know you're not a threat. If you're not okay with that, let me know. Coyot thought for a moment, then nodded. Okay, thank you. I carefully put a makeshift leash on coyot, making sure it was'nt too tight, then walked towards sentinel hill. When I got there, everyone saw Coyot, and a few of the guards gave me odd looks. I ran up to the leader, tapped them on the shoulder, then said: Hi, my name is Penelope. I have come to let you know I've fixed the Wolf problem. I found the coyote wolf, and gave him some treats. It turns out he was just hungry. I promise he won't steal anyone's food anymore. The leader turned around, saw Coyot, and started to draw her weapons, Then she realized he was on a leash, and she relaxed. Thank you for solving our wolf problem. If he really was just hungry, I'm glad you didn't hurt him. He's very cute. Are you planning to keep him? I looked at Coyot. "Well, sort of. He can stay with me as long as he likes, but he also doesn't have to stay with me if he doesn't want to. He's no pet; I prefer to call my animal friends 'Animal Companions'. Oh. Very well. Well, I wish you luck. Here is your reward, three silver pieces. Thank you", I said, then walked back to the exit. I walked a decent amount away from Sentinel hill, then unleashed Coyot. "You okay. friend"? I asked. He let out an enthusiastic bark. Good. Now, I have a question. Coyot, do you have a family? Coyot wagged his tail and licked my face as if to say 'Yes, I do, silly, it's you.'. Well, yes, but I meant do you have a pack or something. Maybe some other coyotes"...? Coyot looked sad for a moment, then he spoke to me in his language. I'm still getting the hang of Coyot's accent, I know the Wolf language but coyot sounds a little different. Either way, I think he said: "My family was driven out of our home by some humans when I was still a pup. Those humans didn't seem to be able to understand me for some reason. Back then I thought all Humans were bad, but your clearly different". He then licked my face again. "Aww, thanks, friend. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find them. I won't ever let anyone hurt you or them again, all right"? Coyot nodded. "So, where was the last place you saw your family"? I asked. "I don't remember. But I think I smell them over to the west, beyond sentinel hill", Coyot said "Wait, do you think their near the small pond in that direction"? I ask. "Maybe", Coyot Replied. Then the two of us set off in that direction
