"You know, since you and Drew made up you should probably invite him over, with mum and dad out and all." Chris suggested as we both took a seat on the sofa in the lounge. Mum and dad would be gone for four nights on a hunting trip with some friends, Chris and I getting the house all to ourselves.
It had gone a couple of days since Drew and I finally started talking again and I was so happy. He really was the best friend I had.
"Chris, I'm not going to invite him over so that you can stare and drool over him." I snorted, turning the tv on. She had such a crush on him. It was old news yet she still thought no one knew.
"I would never do such a thing!" She fake gasped even though she knew that I was right. She would never in a million years admit what she felt about Drew but it was dead obvious.
"Great banter." I sarcastically replied not paying attention to her but to my phone. Adelaide had texted me the other day saying that Liam apparently wanted to see me but hadn't written to me since and it really bothered me. Why hadn't Liam just texted me if he wanted to meet up?
"Should we order a pizza?" Chris asked, lying on her side, kicking her feet up on my legs. All I did was nod, my attention on my phone. She huffed, getting off the couch to get the house phone quickly dialing the number.
As she was ordering, the door bell rang. Well, it clearly won't be the pizza, I thought getting off the couch to get the door. Stopping momentarily in the mirror, adjusting the pink tank top I had on. I pulled it down over my sweats, covering the small bit of skin showing.
A spark ignited inside of me when I thought it might be Liam but my excitement quickly died down as I knew deep down it wasn't.
I swung the door open only to find the devil himself. His figure confidently leaning against the doorframe. He wore a black leather jacket, black jeans, black beanie, black everything. Like his soul. Though I hated to admit it, he looked good. The small amount of stubble covering his jaw always complimented his beautiful features.
"Surprise." He grinned mischievously at me, that sparkle in his eyes radiant as always.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I irritably snapped, quickly stepping outside, closing the door behind me. Standing on the deck in front of the house. The sun had just set but the summer air remained warm.
"I'm taking you out tonight. We haven't partied properly together in a while." He reached out to touch me but I was faster, taking a step back from his hand.
"Does it look like I'm going out?" I stated more than questioned, staring down at my comfy clothes, my hair in a messy knot on top of my head. "And I wouldn't go with you anyways, I'm staying in with Chris."
"Oh yeah, Chrissy, how is she?" Zayn rubbed his hand on his chin, his thumb sliding over his bottom lip the way it always did.
"That's none of your business. Now go back to Perrie, I don't want you here." My hand wrapped around the door knob but I was stopped by a warm hand wrapping around my other arm.
"She's out having a girls night so I thought I might do the same." That cheeky glint in his eyes was so mesmerising, wanting me to say yes so badly.
"Get off me." I angrily yanked my arm out if his grip. "Why do you think so little of me? Why do you think I still have that little self respect that I'd willingly give myself to you again?" Immediately I regretted my words. I actually showed him some emotion, showed him I felt. That was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted to act like a stone hard bitch and break his heart like he broke mine. But he doesn't have a heart.
Zayn's expression told me that he was taken aback from my small out burst. It was certainly a lot different from our last encounter. Something flashed through his eyes as he gained his posture.
