I was so engrossed in admiring the beautiful office that I didn't notice he was also there. He cleared his throat, and I turned towards him. Why did he always have to look so infuriatingly hot? I felt a flutter in my chest as I walked towards him.
"Your file," I said, trying to composed myself.
He took the file from my hand, or rather, snatched it away like I was going to do something nefarious with it.
How rude could he be? I had come to his office for the first time, and he couldn't even be bothered to ask me if I wanted a cup of coffee or thank me for bringing the file.
As he checked the file, I couldn't help but notice the way his eyes scanned the pages, his brow furrowed in concentration. He looked up, and our eyes met for a brief moment before a girl walked into the room, ignoring me completely.
"Sir, Mr. Khurana wants to meet you now," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
He looked up from the file, his expression unreadable. "Now?" he asked, his voice firm.
The girl nodded, her eyes fixed on him. "Yes, sir."
He nodded, his gaze still fixed on the file. "Okay, tell him to come."
