Muna

I stared into the tall mirror, taking in the black dress that clung to my body. It was almost a mermaid style with a sweetheart neckline and a front slit, showing off my leg.

“This is the one” I muttered under my breath, my lips curving in a small smile.

I glanced at the door, anticipating the reaction of the man seated at the other side of the changing room. This was the third dress I did try on today, and it was for a fundraising event, which would be held in three days by his parents’ law firm.

At first, I said no to being his plus one. I mean, an event filled with old rich people wouldn’t be much fun anyway.

Most events I had attended were held by high-end brands, who invited influencers for some marketing purpose or whatever. It was more of a job and was fun too. A place to connect with other influencers.

But when Nicklaus reminded me of proposing to grant his one request, as stated in the apology text I sent him four nights ago. I had no option but to accept, since I set this trap for myself.

My mother and Maya left for Atlanta after spending two nights with me, and it was a dramatic goodbye with the three of us crying at the airport.

The time they spent with me was the best two days of my life, and it had elevated my mood, erasing the mess that had recently tainted it.

I didn’t tell my mother and Maya about Carl though. Well, I almost did but after I considered a lot of things, I decided not to spoil all the happiness and the good time we were having. Thankfully, my life has been quiet ever since.

I strode towards the door of the changing room and upon walking into where Nicklaus was seated, he shifted his attention from his phone to me. When his gaze fell on me, his lips tugged in a smile, giving me the answer I needed.

He rose to his feet and with his heated gaze still glued to my body, he inched closer to me. He was still in his work clothes, so it was the corporate Nicklaus I was up against with his charm as his weapon.

He already got me losing in this fight since I felt my heart somersault, and flutters twirling in my stomach. He halted in front of me, leaving no space between us. Clasping one side of my waist with his hand, he traced his already dilated brown eyes to my face.

He drew his lips closer to mine, “This is perfect.” The air that was muffled out with his words, brushed against my lips before he claimed them in the warmth of his mouth.

I parted my lips, letting him in. I let him fill me with pleasure as his tongue twirled with mine, his lips sucking mine. Ever since the breakfast date with my mom and Maya, this was the first time I was seeing Nicklaus again and I sure had missed the hell out of him.

I craved him and wanted him so badly in some days but I understood he was busy, so I settled with us just texting.

When he paused, some words left my lips before I could stop them. “I missed you.”

A smirk tainted the corner of his lips, “You do, don’t you?” He whispered against my lips and my body trembled against his, the princess between my legs breathing loudly now.

When I didn’t answer but stared into his eyes, he kissed me again before breaking away from me. He stared down at my body and back to my face, “You look perfect in this…” he paused and studied my smiling face. “Just like you look in the rest of them.”

“I will take this one,” I grinned.

“No, we will take all of them.” He glanced behind me to the salesperson, whom I heard walking towards us a few seconds ago.
