"Mom I'll be home at 3. I'll be fine" Shae chuckled of how worrisome her mother can be.
"Shae! You know naman yung mga balita ngayon, a lot of pretty girls are getting kidnapped. Paano nalang kami ng Dad mo?! He will freaked out" Ani ng Ina nito na halata ang pagalala sa Anak. Unica hija pa naman ito kaya naman grabe ang pagaalaga ng kaniyang ina.
"Wag OA okay? I'll meet naman with Aunt Susie later. I'll just roam around the Mall" She replied.
The older woman sigh "Ah basta, be back immediately. Your dad's at work so tayo lang sa bahay"
"Noted po" She smile "see you later, bye" After the call was hang up, Shae put her phone inside her pursed and went to walk inside the mall.
Agad na lumapat ang tingin sakanya ng security guard na nagbabantay at iniscan kaagad ang bag na dala niya. Nang ito'y matapos ay binigyan siya ng tango ng sekyu na maaari na siyang magpatuloy.
She proceeds inside and a lot of people immediately welcomed her as she did so. Bigla niyang naalala sunday pala ngayon that's why andaming tao, especially mga estudyante na magbabarkada at pamilya na ipinapasyal ang kanilang mga anak.
'Sana naman may pogi' pagbibiro pa nito. Nahawa na yata siya sa bestie niya kasi ikaw ba naman araw-araw i entertain ng chismis ni Rein sa mga pogi? She actually just want to experience that thrill that her friend seems to exhibit in her chats with her.
She giggle and busied herself, looking at the posters of models and the Mannequin wearing fashionable clothing. She really loves colorful things.
Habang naglilibot ay hindi naman tumitigil ang kamay ng dalaga sa paghahawak ng mga nakadisplay lalo't na ng mapunta ito sa bilihan ng laruan. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang nagudyok sa kanya pero nakita nita nalang ang sariling pumasok ng Isang store.
She laughed as she went to grab some of the toys. Pinisil-pisil nito ang maliit na kunehong plushie kahit ba naman na may nakalagay na "don't play" Na karatula sa harapan niya.
Nakita ito ng isa sa mga staffs at nagkatinginan sila. Shae look her and then to the sign in front of her. She sheepishly put back the toy in the box and pat its head before walking away like nothing happens.
After awhile she got hungry so bought some waffles and sat on a nearby bench. She thought of something to buy or do after. Medyo na bobored na siya sa pagupo doon ay kinuha nito ang phone niya sa kanyang bulsa at nagscroll nalang sa mga social media account bago nito makita ang isang video ng mga estudyanteng naglalaro sa arcade.
'Now i know what'll do next' she thought at mabilis na inubos ang pagkain at tinapon ang wrapper sa basurahan sa tabi niya pagkatapos.
Napatingin siya sa itaas at nakita niya sa 3rd floor yung arcade. Kaya naman sa sobrang galak ay tumakbo ito sa escalator pataas.
The neon lights of the arcade illuminated the dimly lit room, casting a colorful glow over rows of flashing lights. Habang nasa gitna ng halo-halong mga tunog mula sa mga laro at tao, Shae found herself drawn to the familiar clinking of the crane games.
She went to approached her favorite machine, pinili niya ang claw machine na may cute disney princess na stuff toys pagkatapos niyang bumili ng token.
"Holy cow! Malapit nayon" Someone mumbled annoyed behind her. Napatingin ito sa claw machine na nakadikit lang sa tabi niya and kitang-kita niya ang paggalaw ulit ng de-kamay na makina. It grabs the toy but it was futile and it did let go too soon before the toy could even fell into the hole.
"You cheater! Babasagin ko na talaga tong salamin" Napamura ulit ito kaya naman napatingin na talaga ang dalaga sa mukha ng katabi niya
she couldn't help but notice a lanky figure with a cute frog cap while hunched over the neighboring game, his brow furrowed in frustration as he attempted to snatch a plush toy from the clutches of the metal claw.
"Unfair!" He pouted.
Shae couldn't suppress a chuckle at the sight, finding amusement in the man's childish determination. But as she watched him mutter angrily under his breath, hindi niya rin mapigilan na maawa.
Wala sa nature na maging pakialamera pero hindi niya mapigilan na tulungan ito.
'Sige na nga, cute naman'
Stepping closer, Shae caught his attention with a friendly smile. "Having some trouble?"
The man glanced up, his expression a mix of embarrassment and annoyance"Yeah, these stupid machines never cooperate"
Shae grinned, unable to resist the opportunity to lend a helping hand. "Well, maybe you're just not doing it right."
With a playful wink, she sidled up to the machine next to him, expertly maneuvering the controls as she deftly maneuvered the claw to snatch a plush toy in one swift motion.
"There you go," she exclaimed, holding up the prize triumphantly. "See? Dapat technique lang"
Napaawang ang mga labi nito sa pagkamangha, Nawala ang inis niya kanina habang nakatingin. "Wow, that was impressive! Turuan mo ako please!"
Tinuruan naman ito ng dalaga at hindi na niya namalayan ang oras at halos lahat ng laro ay nasubukan na nila.
She received a message from her aunt saying na kanina pa siya doon sa isang resto at halos 2 oras na ang nakakalipas kaya naman nagmadali agad itong umalis dahil malilintikan talaga siya, umiika-ika panaman yon dahil nagrerecover palang sa stroke.
"You can have this" She said and gave him the stuff toy that they won earlier.
"I need to go, bye" She bid her goodbye and started running out of the arcade.
The guy look at him in shocked. Hindi na nitong pinili na magsalita pa bagkus masayang napangiti ito at kumaway "see you" Sambit nito
Kumunot naman ang noo niya ngunit natawa nalamang "see you" She replied back.
Well maybe they'll meet again, who knows right?
