The Bible.
So simple, yet complex. A book full of tales, messages, instructions... yet people say it came from an almighty deity that made every intelligent calculation in the heavens, in the stars, galaxies, in planets, in systems... Every matter in space.
When I think about it, it's honestly amazing to think about. Who would have the intelligence to construct every fabric of the universe? After all, something cannot come from nothing.
But a physical creation cannot come without its flaws. Can it?The Bible.
Its exodus told its people's history. They escaped the grips of Egypt through one sole savior determined on raining fire down the city, should its king deny His orders.
The deity who had woven every fabric of the universe - even its suns, its stars, its worlds, its tears - mocked each of their gods; the sun, the water, the locusts, the sky, before finally killing every citizens' firstborns.
Israel was saved.
Yet Israel was not its only history.
It contained history supposedly going far back as the prehistoric times.
It would make sense that this deity would know everything He has made, and everything that happens in and on His creations. The Bible.
So thick in pages. Lots of rules to live by, all for the consequences in the afterlife of either doing your "purpose", or lack thereof.
What is one's purpose? To serve this deity? How? Talents? Skills? Effort?
What does it teach us? How to be good? The Bible.
So good at its job, yet it leaves out some people. Or rather, as what I've been taught, people leave it out.
There is so much needed change in the world. Even in myself. Yet nothing happens.
Things improve, yet they make no progress.
People change, yet they stay the same.
Healing flows, yet it stays stagnant.
God is everywhere, yet also nowhere. The Bible.
Both a source of gifts, and a source of guilt.
The way I see it, it is a sort of window and mirror into the spiritual world, the real world, and ourselves.
It is a list of guidelines for people on Earth to follow, yet it brings upon guilt every time a human being sees his or her fault and that he has fallen lesser than the deity Israel calls YHWH.
It is a tool for humans who call themselves dedicated to God to judge others inhumanely whenever a deed is labeled a sin. The judgers become proud of what they do, as if it's not sinful as well. The judged becomes shunned from a spiritual being who says that His duty to people is to bring a sense of belonging to the same people judged by people that label themselves in Christ.
It is a tool for humans to see their faults in themselves. To see what makes them human, and to change that to be truly dedicated to the spiritual being higher than creation itself. Or to judge themselves unfairly and harshly, just like the "followers of Christ" all over the world judge them.
The Bible is a tool to bring about change or self-deprecation to any unsuspecting innocent man or woman.
Both paths are with its dangers. Which is better: to be Godly, or to be human? The Bible.
The book "evangelists" describe as the text that will bring about good to the whole world, the text that will make people happier than they could imagine. Happier than ever.
But no book filled with instructions comes without its sadnesses. And I don't think that's what the Creator intended the Bible to be; to be a book that only contains cheerfulness.
Does the God we worship not become sad at the thought that the humans that want to be dedicated to Him have to abandon everything they have and only focus on Him? Does the God we give praises to not put on a somber face at the truth that true Christians will have to face many struggles on their journeys, maybe even ones that when it crosses the line, only He can control?Human beings.
Like many of the Creator's creations, it is incredibly complex. But also incredibly fragile; if one part fails, all fails. You could say it's a form of unity. A form of teamwork. But the human body is like glass; easy to break. And if it's a type of glass, it is a Prince Rupert's drop. Determined, strong. But squeeze it in the right place, and the entire figure can shatter. But unlike glass, it can be rebuilt.
It is independent; capable of making its own choices and acting on its own. It is gifted yet cursed with free will. And because of this, it is also dependent. But humans are too proud. Should it be its choice, its Creator will leave it be. However, similarly, as it desires, its Creator will be with it.
