Family / Relationships: Dr. Zen has a brother who knows nothing about him being a vampire but who he writes to reguarly. He met Frederick just a few months after opening his hospital practice and they have become good friends. He is also very fond of Dr. Nyle who is like a son to him

Special abilities: Dr. Zen possesses the power of mind manipulation. He can control, customise, and negate a person's mind in a variety of ways. He refuses to use his power in a negative way and instead prefers to use it to unlock his colleagues' inner potential, talents and skills and improve the mental capacity of his patients.

Education and occupation: Dr. Zen has several degress in medicine and is the senior consultant doctor of his practice, specialising in vampire medicine and care. Even though his position doesn't require him to treat patients directly, he continues too, with the help of his junior consultant Dr. Nyle. Who takes over the care of his patients in his absence.

Hobbies: Dr. Zen collects art and enjoys reading

Personal history: Both Dr. Zen's mother and father grew up in poverty and they wanted their son to have a better life than they did, so at an early age they encouraged their son to be a doctor, believing that it provide him with financial security. After leaving school, Dr. Zen started medical school and earned several degrees. While on his way home one night he was attacked by a vampire and left for dead, but the vampire failed to drain him completely of blood and so he transformed into a vampire. After his transformation, he returned to medical school but found that he grew incredibly thirsty around blood and that no human food seemed to satisfy him. Based on this, he quickly realised that he was, but his struggle to resist human blood inconvenienced him, as he wanted to continue being a doctor. Unsure what to do, one night he had a breakthrough. After drinking human blood that was infected, Dr. Zen suffered from the effects of the infected blood and realised that vampires needed medical care just as much as humans did. He set up his own private practice, only for vampires.
