Paradigm Shift [On-going]

Lure

When Frederick arrived at his former home, it was immediately clear that something serious had happened. The atmosphere was heavy and as he made his way towards the house; he noticed Dean was pacing back and forth.

"Oh, look who decided to show up!" Dean sneered once Roman led Frederick inside

"I am sorry I could not come sooner. I have been away for a few days" Frederick explained.

"So while you've been on holiday, we've been fighting your battles for you?" Dean replied.

"I take it that Imperium payed you a visit?" Frederick guessed.

"Oh, they paid us a visit alright" Dean confirmed as he moved closer to Frederick. "They took Jasmine"

"I am sorry to hear that-"

"You know what...I haven't got time to listen to your bullshit apologies." Dean left, his footsteps loud as he made his way upstairs.

Roman apologised as he led Frederick into the lounge. "He's been in a bad place since Jasmine was taken. He really cares about her"

"I understand" Frederick assured. "Tell me exactly what happened. From the start"

Dean

I listened as Frederick spoke to Roman and Seth, but I couldn't bear to join them for the conversation. When I met Jasmine, it was like someone had turned a bright light on and the light had cleared the dark fog that had been surrounding me since I had become a vampire. Now she was gone and the dark fog was quickly closing back in on me again. I was beside myself with worry and guilt, and I felt completely helpless. She was stuck somewhere with those...immoral, depraved assholes, and I couldn't help her. This new life, being immortal it all meant nothing without her by my side.

"I'm afraid that unlike us, their hearts and souls became completely void of any feeling the moment they became a vampire" Frederick revealed after Roman finished explaining everything to him. "They enjoy leaving behind momentos. Evidence of their actions"

"What do you mean by that?" Seth asked

"Most of their victims do not survive but those who manage too; do so with either physical or mental scars, sometimes both" Frederick explained

"Do you think they'll kill her?" Roman's voice shook as he asked the question

"I don't believe so. They have no reason too" Frederick answered. "I suspect they have taken her in order to lure the three of you to them." Frederick looked at Seth. "Have you seen anything in your visions?"

"Only flashes" Seth revealed. "Nothing solid enough to be helpful. All I've seen is that she's been handcuffed, and she's somewhere dark"

When Jasmine woke, she noticed she had been stripped down to just her t-shirt and underwear and she grew nauseous at the thought of what that meant. She examined her legs and could see fresh bite marks that spread across her thighs and lower legs.

Alastor makes his way inside the room "Well look who's awake!"

"Leave me alone" Jasmine mumbles

"You know...I'm a little disappointed" Alastor announced "I was hoping your vampire friends would rescue you by now"

Jasmine thought about how long she'd been there for, but she struggled to work it out. She'd spent so much time passed out and in pain that she'd lost all track of time.

"I guess they don't care about you as much as I thought they did" Alastor taunted

"What would you know?" Jasmine replied "I bet you've never had anyone care about you in your whole life"

Alastor knelt down in front of her and smiled sadistically before hitting her across the face. He hit her so hard that a few drops of blood spilt from the side of her mouth. Alastor slowly leant forward and licked the blood off

"You look cold" he says as he licks his lips, relishing the taste of her blood. "maybe we should warm you up...by the radiator"

"No. Please" Jasmine begged

"But I've come up with an idea that might lure your friends here" Alastor continued "You want to be rescued don't you?"

Frederick had provided a list of locations where Imperium could be keeping Jasmine hostage and Dean wanted to visit them all straight away, but they had a schedule to stick to, so they eventually agreed to visit each location whenever they were close by on their travels. Dean had accused them of not caring enough about Jasmine's welfare to go straight away but Roman had calmly explained that they didn't need to get fired on top of everything else and although it took a while, once he realised he was outnumbered, Dean eventually relented.

That night, they all received a video message on their phones from Jasmine's number. Dean didn't notice because he rarely used his phone, but Seth saw the notification almost immediately and gathered Dean and Roman together in the lounge to open the video on Seth's phone. The video began with Alastor laughing as he approached Jasmine, who was slumped forward, her hands were handcuffed behind her back as she sat in front of a radiator.

'I must say...I've never tasted blood sweeter than hers' Alastor declared

His face wasn't visible, but Damon and Victor could be seen standing on either side of Jasmine

'Now I know now why you were so keen to hide her from me' Alastor continued. 'I wouldn't want to share her either.'

Jasmine was still, but they were relieved to see that her chest was rising as she breathed

'We may have to keep her' Alastor threatened. 'Now we've had a taste. We may not let her go.'

Jasmine lifted her head up. She looked at Alastor and her eyes focused on the phone he was holding before the video ended.
