When we were told the news my heart shattered. I felt numb. Suddenly no one else was around me and I was all alone, deep in my lost thoughts. 'They're gone' I whispered as I thought about my brother, mother and father. Suddenly I was being shaken into reality by the police officer who told us the news. He kept on trying to get answers out if me but I could hardly speak. Then I felt a warm embrace, (A.N: shrek is love shrek is life anyone😂) it was Alfie hugging me. I looked around and Zoe, Dan and Phil were comforting us. 'It'll be okay Madison' Alfie reassured. Madison, the only person who called me by my full name was, my dad. I erupted into another volcano of tears.
I thought about spending my summers with my family on the beach, my mom and dad lying on the sand while my brother and I were splashing in the water. I thought about my father telling me stories when I was little, I thought about taking walks along the beach with my mother and brother. I couldn't take it anymore, 'They're gone' I kept repeating in my head.
Then I was being led by someone, Zoe. I heard the others talking about myself and Jay and where we would stay. I hugged Jay, we didn't speak to one another but words weren't needed, we had each other.
We all crammed into a taxi, we drove, then I saw Dan and Phil lead Jay into their hotel.
I couldn't believe it was only yesterday we were chilling in the lobby with Joe and Caspar, I couldn't believe it was only yesterday that we arrived in LA. I couldn't believe it was only yesterday that my family were alive.
The taxi continued until we reached another hotel. Alfie and Zoe led me by the hand inside and we made our way to their hotel room.
