14- It's Only Bacon

Zoe's POV:
Should I tell Maddie? No! What was I thinking? She just lost her family I can't exactly force her into a new one.... I guess the same goes for Alfie, I should have been kinder to him yesterday and respect the fact that he's not ready. But I do really want Maddie! She's sweet and mannerly and she's at a perfect age where I can do her makeup and go clothes shopping and I'm sure she'd love Brighton! Calm, calm Zoe. For now, this stays quiet. I better start on my makeup soon, I just hope Phil hasn't told Jay yet.

Maddie's POV:
I wake up to the sound of frying eggs and bacon. Wow that smells good! I look around me feeling disoriented as to where I am. Then I remember I'm in Zoella's and Pointlessblog's hotel room. WAIT! I'm in Zoella's and Pointlessblog's hotel room!? Then I remember yesterday - the police, the tears and anguish, and my family - gone. The grief overcomes me and I start silently sobbing.
I then hear cheerful whistling and footsteps coming nearer and nearer. It's Alfie, holding a plate with a fry up on it. 'Oh good you're awake' he said. 'He then sees my crying and quickly comes over 'hey hey it's okay, don't cry, shh, it's only bacon! The pig lives on in its afterlife! It's okay' I laugh through my tears at his attempt to make me feel better, I breathe slowly and I calm down a bit .'Would you like to eat this at the table?' He asked kindly, 'sure' I said so he set the plate full of delicious looking bacon, eggs, and fried potato on the table with a glass of orange juice. 'Sorry we didn't have any sausages or pudding' he apologised 'It's okay, I don't really like sausages and I'm not too fond of fried pigs blood' I said. 'You're a smart one' he chuckled. I ate my breakfast and went to get changed but then I realised that I'm not in my hotel room and I don't know where they put my belongings so I asked Alfie where my stuff was. 'Ah well the thing is Mads, we have no idea either, the police said they will bring us your stuff from the hotel room as you probably don't feel like going yourselves so I guess we're still kind of waiting for them' 'well I was thinking of taking a shower so...' 'Ya ya that's fine you can shower and I can lend you a t-shirt if you want' 'Thanks Alfie, by the way where's Zoe?' I asked. 'Here!' I heard Zoe shout from her bedroom, she came out fully dressed and with her makeup done lovely per usual. 'Sorry hon but I have a meet up today for a few hours, how are you feeling today?' She hugged me. 'Okay I guess, I was just wondering when can I call Jay? I haven't seen her since.. yesterday' I gulped. 'Well why don't you hop in the shower like you said and I'll give Dan and Phil a call.' 'Ok thanks, and thank you again guys for letting me stay here, you guys are amazing!' 'It's no bother, we just want you to be safe and happy' Zoe said. She then turned around and when she thought I wasn't looking she gave a stern look to Alfie. I wonder what for?
I then proceeded to take a shower, Zoe left some of her new products in the bathroom so I sneakily tried the shower gel, it smelled amazing!
After I had gotten out of the shower, I pulled a towel around myself and tried to sneak over to the spare bedroom when I heard Alfie talking to someone. I heard him make his way over in my direction, 'Madison? Oh there you are, the police just came over to give you your stuff' he handed me my stuffed suitcase. 'After you're dressed Dan and Phil said you can come over to their apartment to visit Jay, you guys need to make some decisions' he said hastily. I knew what kind of decisions he meant so I didn't ask.
I got dressed into a summer dress quickly because I wanted to visit Jay asap. Once I was dressed I decided to let my hair air-dry as it was nice and sunny and warm. We exited the building and Alfie arranged a taxi. We were on our way to visit Jay, Dan and Phil.
