POV of Raph.

I'll admit, seeing Zayden sitting at the table with us eating dinner made me feel weird. Like, I haven't seen him sense the 'talk' we had. He didn't look the same last time I saw him, like his eyes grew...darker or some type shit. As he stood up, seconds later you could still hear the yelling from Casey and Zayden.

Then, as I walked out of the kitchen, I could hear the breaking of someone's nose. Blood leaked down Zayden's nose. I was shocked as he didn't try to fight back, he just left sticking a middle finger up in the air telling Casey he did a favor. What favor? Donnie rushed over to Casey, helping him not shake so much and to stop sobbing.

"𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚍? 𝙸𝚜 𝚄𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚎 𝙲𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚢 𝚘𝚔𝚊𝚢?" Morgan asked, touching my leg softly. Looking down at her I could see the fear in her eyes at hearing her uncle Zayden killing their father, hopefully they don't see the fear in my eyes. "He's fine, it's Uncle Zayden that got hurt Morgan." I say, reassuring her.

Taylor then walked up to me, standing right next to Morgan. "𝖂𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖓 𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖊𝖓𝖊𝖉?" Taylor asked, looking up at me with a confused expression across her face. "Zayden, he did a very bad thing to Casey..." I grab the remote and turn off the TV, hopefully making the situation die down some.

"I fucking hate him! I wish Raph did kill him and he did die!" Casey sobbed, walking with Donnie into the lab. My heart sank at hearing what Casey said, the girls both looked up at me slowly moving away from me. "...𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙..." Tears burn in the back of Morgan's eyes, she looked into my eyes making a chill go down my spine.

"It's not what you think-" "𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚒𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘...𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚄𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚎 𝙲𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚢 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗?" Morgan cried, sniffling softly. I knew I would have to tell them one day, but not any time soon. But guess things had different plans. "𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝖆𝖑𝖒𝖔𝖘𝖙 𝖐𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖉 𝖀𝖓𝖈𝖑𝖊 𝖅𝖆𝖞𝖉𝖊𝖓?" Taylor half-yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts.

The memory hits me like a brick, seeing Zayden in that pool suffering because I was shoving him in there. "𝙰𝙽𝚂𝚆𝙴𝚁 𝚄𝚂!" Morgan yelled, seeing the tears roll down her face made me feel like shit. I can't even look into her eyes, her eyes somehow look just like Zayden's. Sighing, I crouch down inhaling and exhaling before looking at both of them.

"It was six years ago, me and your Uncle Zayden were the best of friends and I betrayed him. He was just trying to protect me from your Aunt Karai, and our friend Monoxide thought he was dangerous just because he was a..." I stopped, remembering seeing the way he looked when he was a hybrid.

"...𝖍𝖞𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖉." Taylor finished, she gritted her teeth holding her tiny hands into fists and making them turn white. "𝙹𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚊 𝚑𝚢𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚍𝚎𝚊𝚍?!" Morgan sobbed, wiping her tears as quickly as possible. "I didn't want him dead! I couldn't do shit!" The tears stung my eyes, covering my mouth because I never swore in front of them.

"𝕴 𝖍𝖆𝖙𝖊 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝕽𝖆𝖕𝖍𝖆𝖊𝖑! 𝕱𝖚𝖈𝖐 𝖞𝖔𝖚!" Taylor then ran out of the lair, into the sewers. I was so filled with anger and regret that I couldn't even get up and run after her. Hearing her call me by my full name and cussing at me makes the anger rise more. But seeing Morgan crying makes my anger lower.

"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚐𝚘 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚑𝚎𝚛.." Morgan whispered, sniffling and wiping her nose on her sleeve. "𝙸'𝚕𝚕 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠, 𝚠𝚎 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞." Morgan said with a monotone voice, walking away into the lab to see Casey and Donnie. They probably will never forgive me, and I understand that.

Walking out into the sewers, I can hear some quiet voices. As I turn into my human self, my walks become softer and much more quieter. The water has drowned out and the water isn't up to my ankles. "𝖂𝖍𝖞 𝖜𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉 𝖍𝖊 𝖙𝖗𝖞 𝖙𝖔 𝖉𝖔 𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙?..." It's Taylor. But who is she talking to? "He couldn't help it, luchadora. Your dad was under control of a brain worm. He couldn't help it."

"𝕯𝖔 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖌𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝖍𝖎𝖒?" My breath hitched, hearing that question and not Zayden answering right away. "I..." I could hear the sigh, sitting down next to the tunnel to hear their conversation better. "I don't really know to be honest, like I believe him and don't at the same time. Because, I don't believe him but I believe the part about the brain worm."

God, I'm such a shitty person. "𝕴 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖐 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖘𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉 𝖌𝖊𝖙 𝖘𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖊...𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓𝖘 𝖜𝖍𝖞 𝖙𝖔 𝖇𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖊𝖛𝖊 𝖍𝖎𝖒." Taylor answered, "maybe. I just don't know if I could believe him after six years. I mean, he betrayed me!" Zayden said, tears sting my eyes. What the hell am I crying for? I slowly turned my head towards the entrance of the tunnel and then a knife goes flying past my head.

"JESUS CHRIST RAPH!" Zayden yelled, my eyes are wide and I can hear his footsteps running over to me. "You could have just lost a fucking eye!" Taylor was giggling, hiding her smile with her hands. "I'm fine, good thing I ducked my head back." Then, Zayden led out his hand and waited for me to take it.

Our hands touched, and it felt like two elements clashing against each other. I was the fire, and he was the water. His grasp on my hand felt tight, he lifted me upwards and onto my feet. I forgot how tall he was, he was literally hovering over me. "𝕬𝖕𝖔𝖑𝖔𝖌𝖎𝖟𝖊." Taylor said, breaking the silence. Zayden let go of my hand, making the contact we had disappear.

"Zayden, I-" "Don't even start. I still don't believe you and trust you. I'm leaving." "Where?!" I asked, yelling at him already walking away. Groaning, I look back at Taylor and crouch down. "Taylor, we need to talk later but for now me and Uncle Zayden are gonna talk. Okay?" She nodded, walking back to the lair.

Running up to Zayden, I was already panting. "Where are you going?" "Why do you care." "Come on! Don't treat me like this!" He stopped, turned around and groaned in defeat. "I'm going to go find some old friends." He started walking again, his strides long. "Well, if you're leaving, I'm coming to!"

I yelled, running right up next to him. His eyes glanced at me and then back ahead of him. "What's so special about coming with me to go see some old friends?" Looking up at him, I almost lost my breath from seeing his eyes. "I'll help you out." I answered, grinning. "Fine. But if you get lost or hurt I ain't gonna help you."

"Sounds like a plan to me."
