He who creates, sustains, and destroys all the worlds by His conjugation, is the master of endless and limitless play. We take refuge in that supreme being.

It is rare for me to explain and convey the rare goodness of God to those who know the truth. However, among the three aspects of personality, Balance, Passion, and Dull (Darkness), enumerated by the sages, the great people are the ones who possess the first-mentioned Balanced behavior. It is good to take a dip in those great people's ocean of goodness.

Those who have thoroughly learned all the fields which are said to be excellent from beginning to end, the Vedas which are said to be limitless in terms of types and have limits in terms of lives, and those who are free of attachment internally and externally, will not cling to a single birth as the source of the Lord, the fruit of wisdom.

Like a cat that reaches the loud and lofty ocean of milk and wants to lick the whole ocean, I began to narrate out of desire - the story of guiltless victorious Rama.

In this country, where the voice of the sages still echo, who wrote the glorious story of the man who shot the arrow so that the seven trees were pierced with a single shot, just as the words of a curse are immediately effective, I began to direct this book with the simplest words in this country - what a surprise!

Even if the elders of the world ridicule me, and I am guilty because of that ridicule, if you ask me what is the reason for writing this - it is to make the world aware of the pride of the writers who are proud of the divinity said by the scholars, sages, etc.

For the ears that are home to reading a variety of volumes, reciting my work is like the sound of a drum falling on the ears of a beautiful animal that is sipping sweet honey-like music.

I would like to ask one thing to the eminent writers who have studied the systems of Tamil fields divided into art, music, and drama - 'Are the words spoken by madmen, the words spoken by the ignorant, and the words spoken by devotees worthy of being scrutinised?'

If little children play by scratching on the floor, will the sculptors get angry with the children? - No. Like that, will the authors who have properly written texts, get angry after listening to my work which is not even clear in the slightest?

I am going to tell this story in English after Valmiki, Vishishtar, and Bhodhayanar who composed this story of Rama in Sanskrit which is the language of gods, and Kambar who composed this story of Rama in Tamil songs.

On the basis of Rama, one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, who stood high in virtue, the excellent Kamba Ramayana full of glorious verses, was composed at Tiruvenneynallur. Here, I am going to retell this epic from the land of honour, Tamizhakam.
