Isabella //I awoke the next morning at exactly 10:37, not bad at all. The blinds that I had put up had worked perfectly, since it was still dark in my bedroom. I lazily pulled the covers off of my body and I sat up, swinging my legs off the side of the bed. I got up and walked over to the balcony doors, pulling up the dark blinds witch caused sunlight to pour through my room.
I pulled back the curtains and took a look outside, watching the sun shine brightly up in the blue sky. I took a quick glance towards the house in front, and for the first time, I saw a silhouette in the window. It was only a quick glance, but I managed to see a tall figure with blonde hair walk out of the door.
What am I even doing? I sound like a flipping stalker, bless the poor kid that lived in front of me. I didn't mean to keep such a close eye on that house, I was just a little curious, that's all.
I finally moved away from the balcony and headed out of my bedroom, heading straight down the stairs.
"Dad?" I shouted out through the house in hopes that my father would reply, but I got nothing.
I walked into the kitchen and headed straight over to the fridge, and stuck on it with a magnet was a little orange sticky note. So I pulled it off and began reading.
Morning honey,
Gone out to get some shopping done and then I'm going straight to a meeting, won't be home until later on. I left you money on the counter for food.-Dad x
I sighed and threw the sticky note away, knowing too well this is how It was going to be from now on; my dad was a busy man, and I guess I just had to accept that. Ah well, the good news is that that means a whole house to myself for the day.
I really couldn't be asked to get dressed and go out to get breakfast, but I opened the fridge and found it completely empty, same thing happened with every other cupboard in kitchen. Well, Starbucks is it.
I headed back upstairs and into my room, walking over to the wardrobe to pick out some clothes for the day. I settled on some denim shorts and a black and white stripy t-shirt. I wasn't planning on leaving the house other than to get Starbucks, so all I needed was a simple outfit. I walked into my bathroom and changed into my outfit, brushing through my hair once I'd changed. I left it down in its natural waves, pulled on my vans, and I was out of my room. I didn't even bother putting any make up on, I was only going to flipping Starbucks anyway. I picked up my phone and my keys off of the counter and headed downstairs and into the kitchen to grab the money my dad had left, and soon enough I was out the door.
I made sure to lock the door behind me, stuffing the keys in my pocket once I was done. I took a look down both streets where there could possibly be a Starbucks, and luckily enough I spotted the familiar coffee sign down the left street a few blocks up. I took my phone out as I walked down the empty streets, checking to see if I had any messages or anything; but I got nothing. But then as soon as I put the phone back in my pocket, it pinged. Happens to me every bloody time. I pulled it out once again and pushed the button, watching as a text from Abbie popped up on my screen.
Abs: you awake Bells? Okay if I give you a quick ring?
I smiled down at the text, happy that Abbie had finally text. I'd tried calling her when I got here down at the park when I met Calum, but she didn't pick up. I tipped back a quick 'yes', and not even a minute later, her contact popped up on my screen, indicating she was calling me.
"Abs!" I cheered enthusiastically. Okay, anyone walking down the street right at this very moment would think I'm a lunatic, I mean look at me, jumping around with a grin on my face all because of a phone call? Not that normal nowadays.
