Chapter 34

Ohm! Nanon! Drake! Come here, children! Nanon's mother-in-law seemed to be very excited.

"What happened, Mom?" The men were curious.

"Haven't you heard it?" Love was almost jumping with happiness.

"There's a grand news, my son." Ohm's father came near him and hugged him.

"Mom, Dad-"

"Grace, our beloved Grace is going to be a mother!" The joy in the voice of Queen Angela was evident.

"What! What a great news!" Ohm exclaimed.

"Yes, I still can't believe I am going to be a grandmother very soon."

"We have to celebrate this day Mom. I can't wait to meet P'Grace in person and congratulate her." The aunt-to-be was equally happy.

"Yeah, we must congratulate both P'Grace and P'Flute." Nanon agreed.

"Drake," commanded the king.

"Yes, Your Highness, I will arrange everything." Drake started to make arrangements as the royals would be leaving to meet their princess.

"No hurry my son, we will leave tomorrow." The king told Drake.

Various types of gifts and sweets had been brought for Princess Grace and her in-laws as her family visited her the very next day.

"Congratulations P'grace and P'flute." Nanon congratulated them.

"I'm so excited I can't wait to play with my niece or nephew." Ohm rejoiced.

"Me too phi." Love and Drake joined him.

"How are you, sweetie? And how is our friend child doing, huh?" The grandmother to be asked her daughter.

"I think they are doing well, Mom." Grace hugged her.

"From the very first moment since Grace got to know about her pregnancy, she is very careful of her every movement. Grace is going to be such a great mother.

"I am well aware of the fact that Daddy Flute is also taking good care of the baby and their mother." Stated the king.

"That's true. Our children will be very responsible and great parents." Flute's father said.

"Ohm could be a great father too but-" Suddenly a voice interrupted them. The eyes of the speaker landed on Ohm first then reached Nanon, "Ohm, poor Ohm!"

"What's wrong with Ohm?" Prince Flute asked his aunt. Flute's aunt wanted her daughter to marry Ohm but as Ohm was not into girls he declined her proposal politely.

"Nothing is wrong for now. But eventually, everyone will realise that everything is going to be wrong. When the bloodline of the great Chitsawangdees will end with their only prince. When the king and the queen have no grandchildren except their daughter's children. When Ohm doesn't have an heir to inherit his legacy, when he does not have any child of his own to call him 'dad' in their sweet voice he as well as his dear ones will get to know how many things are wrong with him. What a pity! But I am really grateful to you Ohm. If you haven't refused my daughter she won't get a loving husband and an adorable son whom she has now as her beautiful family. Her in-laws adore her as she is the mother of their future king. And she is going to give birth to his siblings in future too. The happiness she is experiencing now and going to experience in future could never be given by you as you can't love her right. Don't mind my honest words, but I really doubt Ohm's marriage with a man is going to work. Before falling in love both of them may fall out of love. As Ohm will soon realise there's not much the boy can offer to him, after all, he is a man-"

"I beg your pardon. But I think my son is happy with his partner and will be happier in future. And if you are worried he won't have any heir. Let me remind you we are not in the Stone Age. With the help of science, my bloodline can be continued. Thanks for your concern for both of my son Ohm and Nanon but it was really not needed Princess Mint." King Chitsawangdee being a father and the shield of the family spoke.

"I would like to add something too, Princess. As being in a marriage of more than twenty-five years, I can conclude that a marriage is a lot more than having a baby or satisfying a partner's carnal desires. I won't say they are not important but a person won't marry just for those reasons. Love and trust are the pillars of a marriage. If both of the partners love each other and trust them as well, the marraige can never fail. As you said we need to love right and be loved right. It's not only a man's duty to love his wife right and if it is, then I must thank God for creating Nanon, a man as the life partner of my son. At least my boy will receive what he will give, his love will be reciprocated in the same way and ultimately, my Ohm will be loved in the right way." Queen Angela stated respectfully yet firmly.

"Oh..um..aaa... You got me wrong. Actually-"

"Actually, as a woman, you should not talk like that about another woman, especially about your own daughter as if she is a machine of producing an heir of his husbands. A woman is much more capable of that. We should respect that fact Aunt Mint." Flute said making all the elders and youngsters proud of him.

"Our Flute is not only a great father but also a great husband to my daughter. So proud of you my son." King Chitsawangdee hugged him by his shoulders.

"I apologize with all my heart for the disrespectful behaviour of my sister." Flute's father said to everyone in the Chitsawangdee family, especially to the newly married couple.

"Yes, you all are here to celebrate the big day of both of the families but it was ruined. We are extremely sorry, sorry Ohmnanon." Flute's mother asked for forgiveness.

"Oh no, your highness. You don't need to apologize and take responsibility for someone else's words." Ohm stopped her from apologizing further.

"We still can celebrate and will celebrate the big day of our P'Grace and P'Flute." Nanon forced a smile on his face although Ohm could see the glistening eyes of his husband. He knew how hurt and humiliated Nanon was by the incident that happened just a few moments ago. He was hurt too as he knew those words were aimed at disrespecting him but he could see their effect on his husband.

Ohm wanted to fix everything but he didn't know how to, especially when he was in the house of his sister. In front of elderly persons, he couldn't even capture his beloved boy in the warmth of his embrace to ease his pain. He couldn't even plan something instantly with Drake to make his husband smile.  But He had to make everything right as early as possible as he couldn't see Nanon in this condition.
