The day had finally come.

The day Adeliya will see her most favorite person on the planet. Right in front of her eyes.

No, Papa told her she's an Angel!

And she will be meeting her in just a few days!

Well, how did this happen you may ask

Just a month prior, the world was shocked when the ISU announced that the Spasitel, yes, the SPASITEL, was going to participate in the upcoming tournament scheduled in her country.

"Oh my goodness she can also fly, Papa, she can also fly!!" exclaimed Adeliya. "But of course she can fly, she is an Angel. Oh, Papa! We are going to meet an Angel, Papaaa! An Angeeeeel!"

Adeliya wasn't quite aware, but she was not the only one who was beyond excited. Her papa was, as well, waaaay beyond what he showed through his expression.

He immediately booked a reservation for the seats in the stadium and flight tickets for his whole family. His previous minions also expressed their desires to come as well. Not just them, it seemed like the whole world wanted to come to this tournament. But in the end, only the most prestigious of the prestigious were able to afford a seat in the stadium.

Gakushuu had told his daughter that the Spasitel was the best in 'flying', which only added to Adeliya's curiosity. How would 'the best' be any different from a regular skater?

But Adeliya was soon to find out.

Papa let her watch Arina's performances twenty years ago. Throughout the entire time, Adeliya can't keep her mouth shut. She was gaping, and her eyes were glistening. Oh, there is definitely something really different between the Spasitel and other people! She flies much faster and higher! It was incredible!

"What do you think, Adeliya — do you think you will be at this level too in the future?" Papa said, meeting his daughter's eyes while she was sitting on his lap.

'Oh, surely yes!' Adeliya thought to herself and declared out loud.

She waited and waited until that day arrived. It feels like an eternity when you are too looking forward to something. Please move faster, time. It was only one week more but to little Adeliya it felt like a year.

Papa looked and acted more enthusiastic these days. Apparently he was also like his daughter — too eager that time seemed to move at a much slower pace than usual. Sometimes he couldn't believe that it was even real — that he was about to meet her again.

Her. Arina Avenira.

Even now, what he wishes for her is to be able to live a happy, fulfilled life. But he wouldn't know how she was doing if he didn't come to see her.

But would they even allow him to come close to her?

"Arina..." muttered Gakushuu, clutching his heart in overwhelming love and pain. Whenever he thinks of her, traumatizing events would flash back into his mind.

'Trust me, Asano-kun, I'm going to get you home.'

'Trust that I will protect your dream, Asano-kun.'

On that snowy day. That image of a lovely, dreamy Arina drenched in blood and tears, had haunted him for the rest of his life.

'I'm sorry, I just want you to be safe-e-e....'

Her blood soaked his own skin and shirt.

Her blood... against the cold, was warm and sticky.

'Father told me I don't deserve to be loved, and I believe it's true.'

That trembling figure curled up in a corner, arms raised up to protect herself, had pained the depth of his soul.

'I don't ever think I will live long — Father said so, so it must be true. I don't deserve a happy life, but you do, Asano-kun, so I will look after you."

"Asano-ku-u-un—" that physically and mentally tormented little girl raised her bony arms up, begging for a hug. Her ruined face black and blue, but the cuts were deep red. Her fragile body never stopped shaking from that snowy day.

Again, Mrs. Asano Yume was awoken by her husband abruptly rising up from bed with tears drenching his face.

As usual, he got up and drank some pills and went back to sleep with his wife soothing him.

"Gakushuu..." whispered Yume worriedly, caressing his cheek while he was falling asleep once again.

"Arina..."

She stiffened upon hearing that word come out of her husband's mouth while dreaming.

"It's okay. I'm here for you..."

Yume only sighed. It has been like this since forever. She had suggested he seek therapy for his own good, but he always refused and relied on medication instead.

'Then how would he handle it if he were to see her in person again?' she expressed her worry through her thoughts. It would only trigger his PTSD more.

Finally, one week had passed to Adeliya's utter delight! Oh, this must be the the greatest day in her lifetime! Papa also looks so happy when they are boarding the flight. Mama also smiles with them, but Adeliya could feel she's emitting this motherly concern within her.
