Adeliya was four when Papa took her to the ice rink.

"Papa, hurry up! Hurry up!" Adeliya bursted with excitement when she saw other people skating on the ice, nudging her papa to be quicker as he lowered down and helped her put on the skates.

"Let's see if you like it or not — if you do I will buy you figure skates of your own."

"Hooray!" cheered Adeliya.

When they got closer to the rink, the 'thumping' sound of the figure skaters when they jumped a single, double and landed actually startled the little girl a bit.

But my goodness! She couldn't believe it in her eyes. There are people that can fly! They jumped into the air and stayed in there for such a long time it seemed like they could fly!

And not just that! They spin! They spin! Just like a ballerina would. Many previous ballet performances Papa took her to flashed back into her mind. But this is faster and they are flying while doing it!

Little Adeliya was mesmerized. There was a coach in the rink and several of her students among other people who skated for fun. They seemed to have cast a spell on her.

Without patience, Adeliya charged right onto the ice floor to find that it was beyond slippery and slipped and fell with her jaws thumping against the ice.

Her papa chuckled a bit. "Oh, my Adeliya," he smiled and skated into the rink to pick her up.

"Papa, can you fly like those girls?" queried the excited little girl. Papa suddenly lost his composure for a moment.

No one can tell what ran through his head. But he regained himself and helped his daughter skate a little more into the center, and took a deep breath.

"Remember, Adeliya, Papa is perfect," he declared with a smile and let go of her hands to skate a little farther, and then, to jump a triple Axel.

But instead of landing on his skates, he had landed on his ass.

Papa Gakushuu had never regretted his life decision so much. He was glad that at least no one nearby pulled their phone out to record this.

Overwhelmed with embarrassment, he frantically whirled around to confirm that his daughter no longer respected him as a father after this incident, but to his surprise, she looked neither disappointed nor scorned, rather, her eyes lit up with joy.

"Oh, Papa! You flew into the air! You can fly!"

She ran with her skates while falling several times to get to her papa and threw him a hug.

"Papa! Papa! You're so good! Can I be like you too?"

Gakushuu's eyes opened wide. He still hadn't overcome the embarrassment, but still, his little princess was too adorable for him to handle as he pulled himself up along with his daughter and spun her around in the air, spinning on his skates.

"See? You're flying!" he chuckled, while the child laughed and spread her arms out.

At last, his spin slowed down and lowered her into his embrace as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"You want to join them, my little princess?" Papa inclined his head toward the coach and her team.

Without thinking twice, Adeliya shouted 'yes!' immediately.

When they got home that day, despite her mama's begging, Adeliya refused to take off the new skates Papa just bought her. She went to shower with it, and at nightfall, she also got on the bed with those skates on.

"Is that okay, Gakushuu?" his wife whispered while peaking into their daughter's room.

Gakushuu smiled and gave her a peck on the cheek. "Don't stress out over it, Yume. It only proves that this will be the beginning of a bright future for our Adeliya. I will find the best coach for her, and she will compete and earn the gold medal in the Olympics someday."

"You're setting out too much expectation already," giggled Yume. Her husband's goal is always too grand. "But please, when the time comes, just don't pressure her too much, okay?"

"I will," he reassured with a warm smile. Yume didn't know how reliable those words were, as her thought was interrupted when Gakushuu suddenly picked her up onto his shoulder and said playfully, "Let's have some fun tonight" as it caused her to chuckle.

A/n: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) pardon me i just wanna make their life as realistically as possible

And since then, with her papa's connection, Adeliya had officially joined the best figure skating team in the US and was soon to compete against the best of the best, the Normadian girls on the other side of the globe.
