The day flew by. You can only imagine the teasing we received from Hangman when Rooster and I arrived together. He said something about "knockin' boots?"
Later that evening, as Bradley and I walked up to the house, Amelia was waiting at the door with a mischievous grin.
I let out a nervous sigh, "Okay just to warn you, my little sister is a psychopath. So if she says anything crazy just ignore her." Bradley chuckles and nods as we make it to the door. "Hey, Mia."
"Hey." She raises her eyebrows at me before looking to Bradley. She squints her eyes at his name on his uniform. "Hey, Rooster," she said, emphasizing his call sign.
"Hey, Amelia." He emphasized her name as well. "Your sister has told me a lot about you."
"Ah so she has warned you ahead of time." She smirks making me chuckle. Bradley shrugs in response. "In that case, are you ready for a night of high-class entertainment?"
Bradley laughed. "Absolutely."
We headed inside and settled in the living room. Amelia immediately started her usual roasting session. "So, Bradshaw, what's your favorite sitcom? Let me guess, something old like Cheers or M*A*S*H?"
Bradley smirked. "I'll have you know I've watched plenty of Full House and Friends too."
Amelia rolled her eyes dramatically. "Wow, Friends? Really breaking the mold there, aren't you?"
I laughed, nudging Bradley. "Mia, be nice. He's our guest."
"Yeah, yeah," Amelia said, waving me off. "Okay, let's vote. Who's up for Friends?"
Bradley raised his hand confidently. "One for Friends."
Amelia looked at me. "What about you, Becca?"
"Friends is fine," I said, trying to keep the peace. "As long as we start with The One Where No One's Ready."
Amelia sighed. "Fine, Friends it is. But I'm warning you, if you start quoting everyone, we're gonna have a problem."
I laughed. "Deal."
Amelia's teasing continued as we started the episode, but I could tell she was starting to warm up to Bradley. I glanced over at him, who was fully engaged in the show. His presence felt comforting and right.
He caught my gaze and I glanced back at the TV right when Ross finally gets Joey to get up out of the chair and get ready. I feel the cushions of our sectional dip as Bradley tries to scoot close to me. But Amelia's gaze snap towards him and scowls, "Back off, Romeo."
He raises his hands up in defense and we turn our attention back to the TV. I wheeze as Joey walks in wearing all of Chandler's clothes. "Gosh I love, Joey."
"Because he's funny or because he's smoking hot?" Amelia's eyes lit up with mischief, and I immediately regretted my comment and blushed.
"If I didn't know any better I'd say somebody's got a crush." Bradley teased.
"I can fill you in on all of Becca's celebrity crushes if you want." Mia says making my eyes widen.
"Amelia, no!" I protested, but she was already on a roll.
"Let's see," she began, counting on her fingers. "There's John Stamos, Chandler Bing, Chris Evans, Pa from Little House on the Prairie—"
