It had been another three days of not seeing Paul after the fight him and Zelda had. Now was Thursday, and never was the girl so glad to be in this hell called school. Forks High School, to be exact.

After the encounter with the young shifter, Zelda's house was again to be patrolled by mainly Seth and Jacob. Bella would sometimes be sitting out with Jacob late at night, but that was only on the rare occasion that she wasn't somehow with Edward. Paul had made no effort, neither reaching out to her nor watching her house anymore. She wondered why she even cared, after all she was supposed to hate him, and he was supposed to do the same.

„What are you thinking about now, huh?" Angela nudged the girl playfully. Zelda thought for a second, weighing wether or not to just spill everything to her friend, but she dismissed the idea as soon as a dead Angela flashed before her eyes, killed by the Volturi for knowing about their being.

„Just, stuff." she just chose, a fake smile making its way onto her face.

„alright, uh, Mike was just asking if you were coming with us to the movies?" her friend asked her again, a soft hand on her thigh to reassure her that it was okay. It was in moments like this that Zelda realised how much she loved Angela.

„Uh, yeah sure why not." Zelda nodded, catching herself being as awkward as her older sister was. She cringed at the thought, but smiled at their similarities nontheless.

„Great, It's playing on Saturday, it's about this man getting bit by a wolf late at night and he goes through these changes and he has this friend with the really weird name-.." Mike started instantly, a large smile on his face. Zelda regretted her decision to go, noticing the jealous look on Jessica's face as Mike went on and on about this stupid movie and suddenly Zelda felt as if she was his replacement after Bella left to be with Edward again.

„Yeah, great, you know how I am, please no spoilers for me." Zelda started to pack up as she spoke, glad that it was her time to get to her last lesson of the day.

„See you Saturday Mike." she finished, quickly rushing and sending Angela one last wink before running past Bella smiling at her sister as well.

The rest of her day at school went by smoothly and as soon as she left her friend, she was by Angela's side again, walking through the halls just trying to make it out the school.

„You need a ride?" Angela asked her and Zelda nodded truthfully.

„Yea, thanks. I don't really like driving with Bells and the Cullens." Zelda admitted, smiling when Angela giggled.

„Yea, I know. I wouldn't either, really, I get it. They're so... so!" Angela laughed and Zelda followed suit.

The girls took a deep breath in simultaneously as soon as they set foot on the outdoors. They broke into girlish laughter again, making their way towards the parking lot, just gossiping like they always would.

„Oh my god, Mike is so into you Swans!" Angela exclaimed laughing at Zelda's blushing cheeks.

„Can we change the topic already, that's so weird! Why did I even say yes to coming with you guys, that's like a double date plus me." Zelda groaned. She was expecting a laugh from her friend as they turned a corner but her friends eyebrows raised instead and Zelda's head quickly flew forwards to catch what made her face fall so quickly.

„Paul?" Zelda's mouth fell open, her feet coming to a stop instantly. There stood Paul Lahote, infront of his Jeep, arms crossed and leaning against his car.

„Swan." he greeted, standing up straight and opening his passenger door to her.

„Get in; I'm giving you a ride." he muttered, his face a blank space, no expression whatsoever.

Zelda looked to Angela, and then to Paul again, her mouth still opened and her eyebrows furrowed.

„Huh?" she only could make out so much. Her head was filled with questions, one more confusing than the other. But there was one she desperately wanted the answer to. Why is he here? She guessed that she wouldn't get the answer infront of Angela so she only nodded to herself. Paul's eyes locked to her own and somehow that was the only sign she needed to follow his words. Like he consumed her every being with just the brown of his eyes.

„Right, uh I forgot, I already have a ride, Angela. I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" she told her friend and the girl nodded, a smile on her face.

„Yea, right, okay see you tomorrow!" Angela winked to Zelda and quickly walked past the scene, towards her car.

It was then that Zelda turned around to Paul again and was met with his intense stare. He was only in a dark brown shirt and some cargo shorts but god, did he look good. Like a shot right out her wildest dream, like he was carved especially for her needs and wants.

„Get in now, before I change my mind." he shot and somehow Zelda just took that warning and slowly made her way past Paul. Her eyes stayed put on his and he followed her gaze as she got pressed against his side, her hand softly brushing his. Her back was already pressed against the cold metal of the car behind her but he made no move to make space for her. It was only when her eyes almost lost his that he moved so their eyes stayed connected. He turned his body as she climbed into the passenger side backwards. It was so intense that her skin changed into goosebumps. She was turning in her seat, body sitting forwards in the car but her head still in his direction. The boy slowly moved closer, his body almost falling into the car and his torso touching her knee. His hand was gripping the car where the air bag on her side sat, his face mere inches from hers. His eyes moved to her lips for a short second, tho she was not brave enough to move hers from where they were locked for even a mere moment. He looked as if pained, as if there was something on his tongue just begging to be said. But after a second or so he only frowned slightly and moved away from her, his hand loosing its grip and just pointing to her side.

„buckle up." he muttered and she almost caught sight of his gaze falling to her lips again, just for another second. She wanted to think about it, to have this exact moment repeat again just so she could inhale his gaze more, to feel his warmth again. But she was only met with the sound of her door closing shut.
