Part One: The Scent of Love
It was a morning like any other in the butterfly estate, full of life and energy as people moved about. There were demon slayers resting in hospital beds or completing rehabilitation training with the three young nurses—Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho—who looked and acted so similar they could easily be triplets. Despite the seemingly chaotic nature of it all, everything was running smoothly, like a well-oiled machine.

Outside, a girl with long blond hair secured with pink bands and adorned with flowers swung her sword in a pattern of graceful movements while her fuschia colored haori fluttered in the wind. Off to the side, the headmaster of the estate—Shinobu Kocho—gave her an approving smile. She was Yūhi's mentor, though the two shared a close bond.

"Nice work, Yūhi. You're getting better each time you train," she complimented while patting her shoulder affectionately. There was a hint of something else in her voice—perhaps sadness or longing—but it was well
hidden under her kind expression and even tone.

"Thanks, Ms. Shinobu." Yūhi replied with a small bow toward her mentor. She sheathed her sword for a moment to stretch out her arms after all that hard work, as well as to adjust the butterfly hairpiece she wore. "I've been practicing extra in my spare time."

Shinobu nodded, pushing away any negative feelings that might have come up earlier so as to not burden Yūhi with any of it. "I think that earns you a break," she said. "I'll be in my office if you need anything, okay? Please don't hesitate to stop by."

"Of course, thank you so much," Yūhi said, waving goodbye. She took this moment of privacy to sit down on the front steps, pulling out the flower crown she was working on before her training session. As she wove more colorful blossoms into the connected stems, she allowed her mind to wander off. 

Before she knew it, her thoughts soon began to center on a particular person—one who she ran into before on her way to training or meditation sessions, yet hardly exchanged a word with. Even still, she couldn't help but feel...captivated by him, in a way. It could just be simple curiosity, but maybe it was something more.
