"You're pretty good at this, Greenie." A short, dark skinned boy praised Belle. His name was Jeff. He was the only medic within the Glade, well other than Belle now.
It's been a few days since that bonfire night where she patched Winston up, and the next morning, Newt made hera medic. She met Jeff, and he taught her all she needed to know, which was kind of just common sense, really, but.
Belle just finished patching one of the builders up after another lost fight against Gally. "You know someone should really try and tame down that kid," she joked while cleaning up the medical supplies that were sprawled out across the bed.
"There's so taming Gally. He does whatever he wants, within approval of Alby, obviously." Jeff stated. Gally was untouchable basically, Alby let him get away with all this because he kept everyone in order and was one of the best and strongest they had.
Belle heard ruffling from outside and she leant out the doorway to see Minho and Ben doing their rounds of the Glade to get warmed up before the maze opened and they ran around trying to find anything new for the millionth time.
"They leaving soon?" Jeff asked, Belle nodded. "Go on then, I can clean the rest up." He smirked.
Every morning before Minho and Ben went out to the maze, her and Fry would make them some food for the journey. It wasn't much obviously, but they still appreciated it, and it was something that kept Belle busy from thinking too much. Thoughts can get dangerous in the Glade.
"Hey, Fry!" Belle exclaimed, holding out her arms for Fry to pick her up and swing her around. He did exactly that and chuckled slightly. "What's gotten you so chipper this morning?" He asked.
"You." She laughed. He put his hands on his heart and sighed dramatically. "You little charmer." He winked.
Belle and Fry had gotten really close over the past few days, he was always nice to her from the moment she stepped into the Glade, and she loved his food, he was always generous with his knowledge and made sure to include you in every single thing he was doing.
"What's on the menu today, Chefs?" Ben joked. He and Minho had just finished their laps and were now sitting at one of the tables in the hut to cool off before the maze opened.
"Bacon sandwiches." The pair said in unison while handing each Ben and Minho a bacon sandwich that they scoffed down in about two seconds. Belle was amused by how hungry they were and was giggling away, watching them scoff away.
Then they all heard it, the siren, the alarm, the signal that the maze was opening. Her, Fry, Ben and Minho all ran towards the opening doors of the maze. Belle gave the two boys a hug and wished them good luck, as did Fry. She'd taken quite an influence of him and seemed to turn Fry very soft.
Fry turned back towards the hut to clean up all the mess they made, making breakfast. Belle always liked to stay behind a few minutes to make sure nothing went wrong, or really just to observe the maze. It always intrigued her, and she wanted to explore, but she knew that was against the rules.
"Not thinking about going in there, are ya, Greenie?" A muffled voice bellowed from behind her. Gally. He was always up earlier than everyone else, making sure they were doing their part, which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but Belle still found it annoying, his constant complaining in everyone's ear.
"Nope, just admiring its beauty." She stated sarcastically, turning to walk back to the medic hut.
"You have a strange perception of beauty, Greenie." Belle rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"Yeah, well, you wouldn't know beauty if it punched you in the face, Gally." Now it was Gallys turn to scoff. He gained up speed to walk next to her.
"Woah, I think that's the first mean thing I've ever heard you say." He smirked. "I'm impressed."
