"Can I stop using these bloody sticks now?" Newts' tone was serious and loud.

It had been a couple of weeks since Gally and Belle had built Newts very own crutches to help support his leg. His leg seemed healed enough to walk on it. He still had a limp, though.

"There called crutches, Newt. And yes, but take it easy. Your legs are still fragile and could easily break again." Belle instructed.

Newt had an amusing smile on his face as he happily chucked his crutches in the corner of the medhut and strolled outside.

Both Jeff and Belle watched Newt limp over to his friends by the Gardens and get back to work.

"You're really getting good at this 'medic' job, B." Jeff praised. Belle smiled appreciatively and took one last glance at Newt, who was laughing and smiling with his friends. He seemed to be getting better, well, as well as he could be given the circumstances. But we're all trying our best.

As Belle turned back round to go inside, out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of Gally gathering some wood together by the woods. To no surprise, since the flirtatious moment they shared a couple weeks ago in the woods and at the bonfire, Gally had been ignoring her ever since. Whenever she got too close, he would turn the other way. Belle didn't know what she did wrong, but she was too focused on Newt to pay any attention to it.

"I can see you drooling from here, B." Jeff joked, causing Belle to break out of her trance.

"Shut up! Me and him haven't spoken for a few weeks, that's all. Just don't know if I did something wrong or not." Belle turned her attention back to Gally, who was still gathering wood together, lifting them all into one pile.

"Look. Gally's complicated. No one in the Glade can tell what he's thinking. I'm sure you did nothing wrong. Just let him come to you. Don't force it."

Jeff placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and returned back inside. Belle's attention was still on Gally, to her surprise he turned his head to look her way and when she caught his eye, Belle softly smiled his way and within in a second he looked away and walked into the forest.

Belle sighed. She didn't know what the hell she did wrong, but she was sick of his hot and cold attitude.

"There she is! Hungry?" Belle often went to see Fry when she was upset or frustrated about something. His food always made her feel better, and Fry had quickly become one of her best friends within the Glade. They understood each other, and he was sweet.

"For your food? Always." Belle giggled as she took a seat, and Fry started preparing his stew.

He made a bowl for the two of them, and he sat down opposite her, both engulfing the stew.

"So what's going on?" Fry stated, breaking the silence between them.

"What? Nothing. I was just hungry." Belle said bluntly, refusing to look his way. Fry tilted his head and sighed.

"Girl, c'mon. You know better than to lie to me." Belle chuckled, Fry always knew when she was lying. He knew exactly how to read her. " It's Gally, isn't it?"

Belle's head darted up to look at him, and she nodded.

"I've noticed him ignoring you. What happened between you two?" He asked. Both of them had now finished their bowls, and Fry was listening intently.

"Nothing. That's the part I'm confused about. I told you about our little flirty moment in the forest and the bonfire but... ever since then, he's ignored me. Like he's just completely forgotten that I exist. Whatever, it's fine. I don't care." Belle grabbed their bowls and brought them to the water tap, rinsing them both.
