Chapter Eighty

Former galaxy

Through the corridor of space that comes to be known as Vector Prime, the extragalactic Force-blind alien race called the Yuuzhan Vong launch their invasion of the galaxy. Their first major atrocity is the destruction of the planet Sernpidal, done so by using doval basins to pull its moon out of orbit and send it crashing into the planet. This act causes the deaths of countless millions. Just prior to this, the Skywalker-Solo family as well as others such as the Kongs, Kirkpatricks and Jordans attempt to rescue as many people as they can, and only just manage to escape before the impact. Tragically, this is not without a heavy price, as Chewbacca the Wookiee is among those who assited.

The New Republic and their allies have no choice but to declare war on the Yuuzhan Vong, and the deadliest conflict in the history of the galaxy has now begun.

Amongst the Yuuzhan Vong themselves a growing number of dissidents begin to question their beliefs and their campaign of conquering the galaxy. This causes large numbers of them being dubbed 'heretics' by those still loyal to the Supreme Overlord Shimmra Jammanee. Internal strife erupts into open fighting and the 'heretics' leave, and they will ultimately announce their defection to the Galactic Alliance. Despite initial trepidation, the GA accepts them, which in turn bolsters their forces and actually reduces the amount of anti-Yuuzhan Vong feeling that is running rife in the galaxy.

Tragedy strikes yet again as the Eternals launch another mission on a critical enemy facility, located in orbit over an unnamed planet on the fringes of the Core Worlds. Anakin Solo once again leads the strike team, which is tasked with destroying the Yuuzhan Vong biochemical weapons capability. During the attack, Anakin is seriously injured like before, but this time, he does not make it out alive. Triggering a massive explosion, Anakin kills himself, but also destroys the facility and wipes out much of the enemy's Shaper caste.

Despite their sadness over the situation, the Skywalker-Solo family knows that Anakin's death is not in vain. With their military and scientific capabilities crippled beyond repair, it is just a matter of time before the Yuuzhan Vong are defeated. Unfortunately, they will not surrender, but fight to the very end.

Soon. . .

With Jedi starfighter raids out of Eclipse proving a nuisance, the Yuuzhan Vong moved to distract the Jedi: they intercepted a commercial liner on which two Jedi, the Rar sisters, were hiding. To track down the Jedi, the Yuuzhan Vong unleashed their newest weapon; a voxyn. The voxyn killed Alema Rar's sister as the Jedi escaped. Voxyn were smuggled onto a number of worlds deep in New Republic space, including Corellia, where one slew Jedi Master Eelysa. Leia and Han Solo managed to stop an attempt at smuggling voxyn onto Coruscant. In response, a Eternal strike team led by Anakin Solo, and consisting of Jacen and Jaina Solo, Lowbacca, Tenel Ka, and Zekk, among others, went to Myrkr and destroyed the voxyn breeding facility, though most of the team was slain. Anakin himself died while covering the retreat of the remaining Jedi, his body overwhelmed with Force energy as he achieved oneness with the Force.

With the Eternal Order distracted and the New Republic fleet believing that the Yuuzhan Vong were planning to attack the Core from the south, Warmaster Lah was ready to attack the galactic capital of Coruscant. Initiating Battle Plan Coruscant, Lah smashed through the Northern Line at Bilbringi and Borleias, capturing systems such as Reecee as preliminaries to a pincer movement on the capital.

Curly, telekinetically controlling his bronze, silver and gold lightsabers' at the Black Arms, slashing and killing them one by one in a very fast pace.

Redimus: [Determined] It's time. . . to end this!

"RREEEEEDDDDDDDD!!" Spydon scaremed out in anger and charged upward, boosting in fury at Redimus.
