Chapter Eighty Six

Omega Halo

Unlike the six rings of the final Halo Array, Omega Halo was manufactured at the greater Ark instead of the Lesser Ark. Like the other Halos built at the greater Ark, Omega Halo's main weapon was designed to fire directed pulses as opposed to the omnidirectional effects of the newer Halos. Omega Halo was the last 30,000 kilometer Halo to be built. By the last year of the Forerunner-Flood war, all but one of its counterparts had been destroyed either during the assault on the Capital world or by Flood/Precursor forces in the intervening years; Omega Halo had been severely damaged, reduced in size, and repurposed alongside the smaller, final Array. Omega Halo itself retreated from the fall of the Capital through a slipspace portal, the only one of the two Halos that tried to make the transit and survived.

*[The Eternal Grand Council was evacuating it's people and civilians to the transports when suddenly. . .]*

*[C.S.A.T. and Black Arm ships and attack the massive space station]*

[Omega Halo was getting severely damaged in the massive attack, and several of Union, X-Men, Avengers, Justice Leaguers, and Eternals alike inside the massive space station were being killed and/or captured.]

Meanwhile. . .

Shadow, holding a green Chaos emerald he stole from N.A.T.O.'s vault floats with his father: Black Doom

Black Doom: So, you've finally come to realize just how abominable these humans are. It's time to make all final preparations for our ritual. Hidden inside that space colony ARK is the most powerful weapon, able to pierce stars... the Eclipse Cannon.

Shadow: Piercing... the stars...

Black Doom: That's right. The ELEVEN Chaos Emeralds are needed to demonstrate its full power or tomorrow's prosperity ritual will all be for nothing.

Shadow: Prosperity ritual? Tomorrow?

Black Doom: Now, GO! What fools. Humans created the Eclipse Cannon to protect themselves from terror, instead... it will be used to destroy mankind!

[A Black Hawk arrives, Shadow departs for Earth on it.]

[Black Doom makes a worldwide broadcast on ever television. The ruins of several cities are burning, with wrecked Gun Beetles and tanks littering the streets]

Black Doom: We are the Black Arms. We are here to take rule of this planet. Any attempts to resist are futile and will result in death.

[GUN headquarters at GUN Fortress. Black Doom continues.]

Black Doom: You humans are SO pathetic.

Commander: [Slams fist on console] Damn you!

[The White House. Black Doom continues his speech]

Black Doom: As of today...this planet is MINE!

President: You're crazy! We will not...

Black Doom: Now we will begin to exterminate all of the world's leaders who resist.

President: [Horrified] Wha... What!?

Soon. . .

[The Space Colony ARK moves into position over Central City and begins to charge the Eclipse Cannon.]

Black Doom: Annihilation for this planet is near. It is time to embrace the dawn of your demise and despair.

*[The Eclipse Cannon fires. Several G.U.N. and USNC battleships hovering over the city are first to be struck and ripped apart before the Eclipse Cannon's blast hits
Sydney, a city in the country of Australia on Earth. It houses the headquarters of the UNSC HIGHCOM Facility Bravo-6, ONI, and the UEG]*

[The energy from the blast discharges outwards, first blacking out the city before engulfing it in the expanding dome, leaving it a fiery ruin.]*

Black Doom: Muhahahaha...
