I walk in late at night. It's currently 4 am on the dot. I groan while taking off my shoes. 'Teaching in the morning.' I go over to my newly shared bedroom, opening the door. The curtains have a slit opening, letting the moonlight shine the bed. I see zashi sleeping and.... 'Is that Toshi?' I shake it off and head to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and change into some comfortable clothes. I sit on the edge of the bed and before I lay down I hear a voice. "Sho is that you?" It was my loud, but now quiet, boyfriend. "Yeah," I reply while lying down. "How was *yawn* patrolling?" "It was terrible as always. Don't waste your strength, get some rest." Toshi was in between us. He was sound asleep suckling on his pacifier. I stroke his hair and rub his arms. "It's ok, we can talk." I look at zashi who was now wide awake. "Well then how was he?" "He was perfect." We had to whisper just not wake up my- no, our baby. "Yeah but of course he was upset that you were gone. He missed you." "Did he really?" I go down to kiss his forehead. "Mhm. How was the meeting? Or is it top secret?" A lot of hero missions are top secret to other hero's, it's pretty common. "Actually it is a secrets mission, I can't share any details." Thinking about the mission made my stomach turn. "Well, when will it take place?" "It has to be pretty soon, we can't waste any time." The room went into a comfortable silence after that. I was stopped stroking Toshi's hair and zashi was just looking at him with awe. "Is something on your mind?" I asked because he looked happy at something. "No it's just.....don't you just love our little family?" I close my eyes and smiled. "Yeah." He spoke again, "like I just don't see how this family can get any better." After he spoke, I heard a noise from my phone. It was an email. I turn and face my nightstand, grabbing my phone. "Is everything all right?" The email was from sir nighteye. "Yes just an email about the mission." "So late at night?" "Well it has to happen very soon." The email was about the girl. He has information about her. There's another meeting taking place tomorrow. I lay back down and face zashi again. "About what you said, I guess I can't see how this family can get any better either. It's gotta be something very special."
