Thank you to everyone who read chapter 1! Here is chapter 2, enjoy friends!! :)

She knew the couple in the story would end up together. It was just destined, of course. She smiled as she closed the book and plopped it down on the nightstand. It only took her another hour to completely finish.

She sighed and stood up, getting out of her pajamas to change into a gray tank top and jean shorts. She brushed through her hair quickly and put it back up in a loose ponytail. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave herself a nod.

Perfect outfit and look for a chill day.

College classes had knocked the wind out of her during finals time; she was a music major, which meant a lot of reading sheet music and performing in front of professors. That had been stressful but she passed all of her classes and finals with flying colors.

She had even been offered a position in a provisioned choir next year! She was beyond stoked for that.

She hoped one day she would be on stage, in a broadway theater and singing in front of an audience.

'That's the dream.' She always told herself.

Grabbing her purse and a light sweater to wear over her tank top as well as the book, Grace made her way down the steps to the backyard.

She hated to return such a good book, but there was always next time right? "Hey mom, do you need any help with gardening before I head to the library?"

Mojo stood up in his little house and Grace walked over to him to give him a few pets.

"No I'm good sweetie but can you pick up some milk on your way home? We're almost out." Judy responded as she pulled a weed out of the ground.

"Milk, got it. I'll be back soon." She patted Mojo's head before walking off towards the street.

She could take her car but what was the fun of that? It was a really nice day out. She grabbed her bike, which happened to be a navy blue in color, before patting the hood of her 2000 Ford Escort.

She then got on her bike and started riding towards town.

A quick 15 minute ride to the library had her setting down her bike and walking inside to the front desk.

"Finished that one quickly, Grace." The woman who sat there gave the woman a smile before taking it.

"Well of course Katie, gotta move on to the next one." Grace gave her a small grin, "Any suggestions?"

"Oh yes actually. There's a new historical romance in the new novels section that I think you'll love, which takes place during medieval times."

"Oooh, sounds fun. Thanks Katie."

Making her way over there, Grace found it relatively quick and sat down in one of the comfy chairs near the window. She flipped the book around to read the summary.

He loved her. She loved him. But a mystical creature that was only told in legends could tear apart their love if it's not strong enough. Loyalty, respect, and true love will be put to the test in this magical adventure.

Grace smiled, this seemed like a perfect fit for her. She opened the book up and would read the first few pages before making sure. She crossed her legs and leaned back against the chair to start reading.

A strange but familiar frequency suddenly came over Barricade's scanner as he continued driving west. As quick as the frequency showed up though, it vanished.
