Enjoy chapter 5! (This is where the real fun begins ;) )TW: mentions of blood
—————-
Panic hit Grace like an ocean wave in a hurricane as she was forced inside the police car and the door shut as it started speeding off.
"Hey! What the fuck is this?!"
She glanced over at the driver's seat and saw no one; the steering wheel was turning by itself, the speed meter kept climbing on the dashboard, and the gas/brake pedals were moving on their own.
"Oh my god what is happening.." Anxiety and panic were rising in her, but she quickly forced herself out of said mindsets.
'No, you can't panic Grace.'
'That won't get you out of this.'
"What the fuck is going on?!" She yelled again.
The mustang suddenly made a sharp turn, which made Grace nearly tumble sideways in the passenger seat. She hit her head hard on the window and she groaned, holding her head for a split second before she caught a glimpse of something in the driver's seat now.
What she saw made her eyes widen.
There was suddenly a man seated there; he didn't even have his hands on the steering wheel as he looked in her direction with a glare that pierced through her soul.
Suddenly he flickered into nothing right before her eyes.
"Oh my fucking god.." Grace whispered.
Barricade was messing with his captive of course, but it was such fun. He enjoyed taunting his prey.
"There is no way that just happened, there's no fucking way!" Another sharp turn made Grace hold onto the side of the door.
'A self-driving car?! That magically produced holograms?!'
"What the hell are you?!" Her tone almost wavered, but she caught herself, she couldn't show fear now. She couldn't be vulnerable.
When there was no answer, she suddenly kicked the dashboard of the mustang, "Talk, you piece of shit!"
Barricade was somewhat surprised at how bold this one was, but he wouldn't tolerate being kicked by some insect. He suddenly made the passenger seat go backwards in a flash, which made Grace scream as her head hit the back of the seat hard.
"Ah! What the hell?!"
'Oh it's going to play the silent game is it? Not on my watch.'
She reached forward to kick said dashboard again, but not before a seatbelt came over her legs and forced them down to the seat.
"Enough!" Barricade's voice growled through the radio.
'That voice, it wasn't human sounding at all. No, that sounded more robotic than anything.'
Grace tried fighting the seat belt restraint to no avail. When she tried to sit up to look out the window to see where they were, the seat went down further and forced her back with it.
"Let me go!"
She reached up and tried the door handle, not that she could get far with the seat belt over her legs, but at this point she was desperate.
She tried opening it several times but to no luck it was locked and wouldn't budge. "God dammit!"
She eyed the speed meter and was shocked at how fast this vehicle was going; it was near 100mph.
