I laid back on the white headboard of my bed

I laid back on the white headboard of my bed. I was in my old room, which was now converted into a guest room for my mother's many guests. I needed some downtime after dinner while everyone else played a long game of Monopoly.

My father almost had a fit when my mother and grandma suggested Reid and I sleep in my old room.

"I don't care how old you are Jade you are not allowed to have a boy in your room!"

My dad stood outside my room for nearly ten minutes blocking us from the entrance. Reid and I stood idly by the door watching my grandma, mother, and father argue.

I should have brought a bag of popcorn to enjoy the show thoroughly. It wasn't until my mother had enough and threatened him to sleep on the couch for the rest of the month. My father gave up and walked away like a dog with its tail tucked between his legs.

I shook my head at the memory. Reid strolled through the door and from behind him I could hear my family's loud voices in the background.

A bunch of yes, no, and sucka echoed through the house, and climbed up the stairs. My family gets super competitive whenever that board game comes out I swear. The game always either ends in tears from one party or an excessive victory dance from the other. Not often does the bard get flipped but it's not rare.

My eyes bounced to the bright red cup  in his hand. He shut the door behind him with the heel of his foot and took a sip, the ice sloshing in the cup. "You know, what you did back there was cute. I'll admit."

My eyes snapped to his tall figure, and my heart began to beat twice as hard. I looked at the clock by my bed, dinner was almost five hours ago. The clock read 12:05. Was he still thinking about what happened under the table?

"I do a lot of cute things. You're going to have to be specific," I continued to scroll on my phone. I should have known to question the silence that followed.  The next thing I knew he wrapped his hand around my ankle and pulled, my phone falling out of my hand and onto the bed. I shrieked as my back slid across the beige covers and my eyes met Reid's as he loomed over me.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about Jade. Don't play dumb with me."

I gulped, his honey-colored gaze drilling holes into my face. "I'm not playing dumb. I don't know what you're talking about Reid." I shrugged my shoulders.

"I was counting you'd say that," he yanked me down the bed until my ass was teetering off the edge of it. I sucked in a sharp breath when he ran his fingers down the smooth skin of my thighs and collected my pair of shorts along with him.

"What are you doing?" My chest puffed up and down, his touch like lava on my skin, melting my back to the bed. My eyes darted from him to the door. Worry clouding my vision. "Reid?"

"I thought I'd return the favor is all," he shrugged his shoulders. My head began to spin as my shorts dropped to the floor and his hand stretched over my flat stomach.
