Inari had just canceled her 37th birthday party, no longer wanting to be around her family after the rough events of the past week.
She and Joe had recently revealed to their families that they were expecting twins, adding to the brood of six children they already had - Leo, Isla, Lennox, Landon, Luca, and Liko.
But the joyous news had been met with some backlash, as Inari had discovered that a few of her more judgmental relatives had been talking badly about their decision to have even more kids.
It was a sensitive topic that struck a nerve, as Inari and Joe had faced criticism and unsolicited opinions about the size of their family before. But this time, the hurtful comments had cut especially deep.
Inari knew she needed some space from her family, or else the situation was bound to escalate and get ugly.
The last thing she wanted on her birthday was to be surrounded by relatives who disapproved of her life choices and made her feel ashamed of the family she and Joe had built together.
So she had made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the party, not wanting to put herself through the emotional turmoil.
Instead, Joe had secretly been planning a surprise family vacation to Inari's favorite island - the picturesque and serene Anguilla - as a way to celebrate her birthday and give her the peaceful, relaxing getaway she so desperately needed.
