He's been staring at these pictures all morning.

As soon as 12 o'clock in the morning hit, Leo rushed to his Instagram, Noel's first magazine release for TeenVogue featuring her sister having gone live once the clock struck.

And My God, was she stunning.

If liking, commenting, and resharing her post on his story wasn't enough, he even showed his appreciation for how jaw-dropping she was in their message thread.

But waking up later that morning to get prepared for the game, the looming cloud of embarrassment began to creep up on the nape of his neck, having felt like a lame for the entirety of his warmup and pre-practice.

The Calisota Raven's first home game of the year is scheduled to begin at 4:30, the D1 institution planning to go out with a bang to give good luck for the rest of the season.

This didn't help Leo's jitters at all.

So he decided to do the same thing that he does whenever his nerves were high and his thoughts began to go on the more negative side of the spectrum.

Call his parents.

"Mamma!" Leo's Norwegian accent was thick as he greeted his mother, his smile bright on his face as he sat on the cold bench in the quiet locker room.

"My sweet boy," Leo's mother Hailee responded in their native language, happy that her son had surprised her with a phone call. "Anders! Leo is on the phone."

And with a well-needed pep-talk, Leo's mind was put at ease for the time being, the harsh reality of his depleted self-confidence hitting him like a ton of bricks.

He constantly wished that his parents could watch him play, the two of them only making it to three games last year, but he knew that due to where they lived and the fact that they couldn't just sporadically take off from work, he tried not to make a big deal.

Leo lies to himself all the time to make himself believe that if he doesn't make it to the National Football League, he'll be fine with living his life without football.

But in all actuality, he would be destroyed.

Football is something that he found later in life, but still became his passion nonetheless.

Thinking of his life as a child back home in the rural areas of Northern Europe, he never thought once that he would be playing football in the United States at one of the top scouted universities in the nation.

The pressure was on, and with sophomore year being a crucial year in college to be scouted by the national teams, it was easy to succumb to the negative thoughts that arose when thinking about his future.
