— two. am I dreaming?

RING! RING! RING! RI-

"Lian, sweetie? It's time to get up," my grandmother's voice called out gently from outside my bedroom door.

RING! RING! RING! RING! RI-

"LIAN! TURN THAT ALARM OFF," my older brother shouted from down the hallway.

RING! RI-

I slammed my hand down on the alarm and let out an annoyed sigh as I sat up and stretched on my bed. Then I rubbed my fingers over my eyelids before opening them. I looked around my bedroom and raised a brow when I realized I was in my old bedroom.

"What the...?" I whispered to myself, "Am I dreaming? Why am I in my old bedroom? And why... What happened to Jun-ge's studio?"

I looked around again after rubbing my eyes. But no matter how many times I did those things, nothing changed in front of me. I'm literally in my old bedroom and everything from before was in its place.

"How's this possible?" I asked before I heard the knocking on the door, "Yes?"

It opened and in came my grandmother who looked like she was five years younger. My eyes widened when I watched her come over with a smile on her face.

"Sweetie? Is there something wrong?" she asked me as she sat down on the side of my bed.

"Uh-" I'm definitely dreaming, right?

My grandmother then gave me a worried look before placing her hand on my forehead to check my temperature. "Hm, you don't have a fever," she muttered under her breath before leaning closer to my face to check my eyes, "You also don't look sick. So what's wrong, Li-Li?"

"I... I feel like I'm dreaming..." I whispered, making the old lady in front of me raise her eyebrow.

Then she asked, "Dreaming? How so?"

"This room... It's my old bedroom and Jun-ge's studio..." I answered as I looked around for the nth time, "I know that I moved to dad's old office downstairs... So why... Why am I here? How did I get up here? Also, where's my wheelchair, Nana?"

It was quiet for a few seconds before my grandmother stood up and excused herself. She then left the room with the door closed behind her. It didn't take long for her to come back, but when she did, Jun was with her.

"Lian? Did you fall off your bed this morning and hit your head?" he asked, to which I looked at him in confusion.

"I- How can I fall off my bed when I can't even move my legs, gege?" I asked with a short chuckle, but my two family members didn't laugh back like they used to.

Instead-

"I told you something was wrong, Jun," my grandmother spoke in a hushed voice, but I could hear her loud and clear.

"Nana, nothing's wrong other than the fact that I'm back in my old bedroom and Jun-ge's studio is gone," I said, confusing them even more.

Then Jun walked over and did the same thing my grandmother did earlier. "You're not even sick. Lian, tell me did you get into an accident recently? Like you know, did you hit your head or something?" he started to ask after kneeling in front of me by the bed.

I shook my head but stopped and said, "Well, I mean, I feel offended that you both forgot about that car accident. Did you two forget overnight that I was in a car accident a year ago? Remember- I'm crippled."
