DDDDIIINNGGG!!! The final bell at the school echoed through the halls and was soon replaced by students walking and chattering as they left their classrooms.

"Ok, that'll be all, and I hope you all have a great summer!" Mr. Stevens said as he opened the door.

"Sweet," I thought to myself as I finally got out of this school and town for the summer. I'm so happy that my aunt Maggie asked me if I wanted to stay at her place over the summer, as her town is very active during the summer months.

Realizing I was the only one still sitting in my chair, I jumped up and ran out of the classroom. On my way to my car, I was still thinking about how I could get a job, make some friends, and maybe even find a girlfriend over the summer. Really anything could happen, as there's so many possibilities summer could bring. I just have to make sure to catch the flight tomorrow morning!

17 hours later...

BEEP BEEP BE-

Opening my eyes to my alarm clock going off, I instantly smacked it, setting it to snooze. "It wasn't like I had anywhere to be," I thought to myself. In that moment, I have never felt my heart drop so low. My awakening was so intense in that moment, as I was coming to. "I need to get to the airport!" I realized I had hit the snooze multiple times before actually waking up. As soon as I was conscious, I dashed to get my clothes packed and my stuff ready. As I was getting everything packed, I quickly checked my phone to see that I still had time to make my flight, but it would be close.

As soon as everything was packed, I was off to the airport. After 10 miles and some annoying red lights, I was in the parking zone of the airport. As soon as I found a parking spot and got my car situated, my stress started to ease. The timing seemed good, and as long as I made it through security checks quickly, it shouldn't be a problem.

Knowing this information, I realized I needed a bathroom break. I decided to leave my suitcase with my clothes in the hall as there were some other suitcases like it, so I thought it would be safe here, and I took my backpack with me to the bathroom. After a few quick minutes, I saw my suitcase where I left it and headed for the security checkpoint.

Once I made it through the countless checkpoints, I was finally seated on the plane, and shortly after, it took off. I decided to just go back to sleep until the plane landed, as the flight wouldn't be too long.

Once we had landed, I was collecting my luggage and making my way to the gate. I was scanning my eyes to find Aunt Maggie, who was coming to pick me up.

"Lucas!" Aunt Maggie screamed as she saw me first. Knowing to brace for impact, I was wrapped up in a hug. We headed toward her car once she finally broke apart from me. All I was hearing the whole way to her car and then home was about how big I'd grown and just the usual distant relative talk of catching up.

Once we got to her house, she was leading me down a hallway to what I assumed was going to be my room. As my eyes peered around the corner, I was starting to see a pink room. Once I had reached the door frame, I realized the room wasn't just pink; it was a fully decorated girl's bedroom.
