Vianne Acacia
I was walking in the hallway, quiet yet filled with memories. I’m here at our building, heading to the nearby cafeteria since my second subject just finished. As I walk, some people greet me, surprised to see me here again.
There are more places to eat now, na parang mall na ito sa laki at dami ng options.
While walking and looking around, hindi ko napansin na nakarating na pala ako sa cafeteria. May mga students na rito na kumakain. I was about to look for Aquilla, but then I remembered she has a different schedule. We also have different majors.
I bought carbonara, a chicken sandwich, and of course, my comfort food slash favorite snack, graham balls hehehehe the best graham balls dito sa UVH promise
I picked up the tray and walked to an empty table, so I sat there. I took out my iPad to organize my schedule for this semester. I just focused on what I was doing.
I was about to eat the last graham ball when someone took it from my hand "Thanks" tumingin ako sa taong umupo sa harap ko "You're alone, where's your best friend?"
Hindi ko sya sinagot "You ate my graham ball, it was the last one" bored kong sabi sa kanya
She chuckled softly that made me roll my eyes "Hindi ka pa rin nag babago when it comes to that, you still love those balls"
I looked at her, confused. "And how did you know that I love those?" Aside from my family, there are only two people who know my favorites. My best friend Aquilla and... Phaedra.
"Oh well, when you were still studying here, I noticed na lagi kang bumibili ng graham balls that's why I assumed na it's your favorite" she explained with a smile. "I know every little detail about you Vianne... Till now" she added, smirking.
I raised an eyebrow at her. "Is that your way of confessing?"
She laughed and shook her head. "Nah, pero..." She leaned forward, her face inches away from mine. "I actually had a crush on you before..." she whispered.
Her face was so close, it felt like she didn't care about the other students around us. I stayed still, maintaining a poker face while she smirked, looking me straight in the eye before I started to speak.
"Well, Professor Herrera" I said with a hint of challenge in my voice, "if that's how you felt, maybe I should consider taking you up on your confession."
Her eyes widened slightly, clearly caught off guard by my response. Just then, a loud clatter reverberated through the cafeteria. We both turned to see Phaedra, her gaze devoid of emotion as she looked at me, so I returned the favor with a neutral expression. Nagtataka man ako but she started to walk out the cafeteria, tumingin ako sa kalat sa lapag, it was her favorite Lumpia and... Graham balls
She doesn't eat graham balls
Professor Herrera chuckled softly as she moved away from me. "Looks like someone wasn't happy" she remarked. I simply gave her a brief look before shifting my gaze back to where Phaedra was.
