Hi, I'm Vianne Acacia Laurier, 23 years old. Right now, I'm on my family's private plane heading back to the Philippines after three long years away, to complete my college education.
You might wonder why.
It all began when two women were thrust into an arranged marriage five years ago, but it didn't unfold as planned. One of us was already in love with someone else, while the other harbored feelings for that very woman, a love spanning over a decade. We were once childhood best friends, but everything changed with that arrangement.
It's not your typical love story it's rather... complicated.
Those two women are none other than myself and the enigmatic Phaedra Calise Foncesca.
Our parents believed we were meant to be because we were inseparable since I was 8 and she was 11. I did everything in my power to win her heart, knowing she always see me as a sister. But that wasn't enough for me. I wanted her to be my forever because I saw my future intertwined with hers.
Yet, I reached a breaking point. After two years of trying, she continued to push me away, uttering hurtful words. I even witnessed her kissing someone else - her girlfriend, right in front of me, in our own home.
I had to let go... I had to let go of the hope of winning her heart.

I hurried down the stairs, not caring if I stumbled. "Good morning Pres! DAHAN DAHAN HOY!" I heard a student call out to me. I just smiled and greeted them back with a good morning.
I'm the Student Council President of the Senior High School here at Harrison University, so most people call me Pres, and I still haven't gotten used to it. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I suddenly tripped because I bumped into someone.
"Fuck..." I muttered to myself as I felt the pain from the fall
"HALA SORRY PO ATE! HUHU" a high-pitched voice of a girl said, making me look at her in amazement because she was incredibly cute.
I got up and straightened my clothes, noticing that she was also wearing a uniform, which meant...
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in the other school?" She was wearing a school uniform, and based on her patch number, she's in 6th grade at Harrison Preparatory Academy. That's where Aquilla, my best friend, studies. I invited her here because there are booths set up today since it's Valentine's Day.
I saw her scratch her head, so I raised an eyebrow at her. "Naligaw po?.."
"You're lying huh?" I asked, smiling at her
She smiled back, revealing her blue braces. HAHAHAHAHAH CUTE
"What's your name kid?" I motioned for her to walk with me, and she did. I checked my wristwatch there were still 20 minutes before Phaedra's class ends
"I'm not a kid," she pouted, so I messed up her hair. "I'm Alaia Jean Cabrera, but you can call me Aj" she said with a frown.
Cabrera?
"Kaano ano mo sina Alfonso Cabrera and Es-mmphf!!" She pulled the hem of my shirt to drag me down, covering my mouth with her hand. She's small.
