I'M ON A WHOLE ASS ROLE WITH THESE-

----------------------------------------------------------

Nobody's POV:

It's been a few weeks since Ezra arrived in Amphibia -- which Circe so kindly told her the name of this world -- and in the time she's been here, Circe has been making her train on her fighting abilities.

She's already a decent fighter from the self-defense classes her mom put her in, and the countless fights she got into back home. (In both Russia and at Saint James)

But Circe said she needed to be better to survive in Amphibia. Which, brings us to our current moment.

At the moment, she was currently training her agility with Circe, who was currently sending spells at her left and right -- making the blonde dodge them and try to get close.

Ezra is currently hiding behind a rock that's somehow big enough to hide her behind it, Circe sending multiple spells at the rock. "You can't hide forever Ezra, your enemy will eventually get to your hiding spot and get you."

The old frog says, tapping her cane against the ground after stopping her onslaught of spells. However, the tall blonde suddenly comes raising our, holding the katana she's recently learned how to use much easier. She manages to get halfway to Circe before having to duck behind a tree from the frog sending more spells at her.

"Damn witchy frog." Ezra grumbles, and Circe scoffs, raising an eyebrow at the blonde behind the tree. "I heard that." Ezra rolls her eyes, shifting her stance to be ready to go running out again. "Oh, so you aren't deaf? Thats surprising, you sure seemed deaf last night when I was trying to explain something to you." She says sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

Circe sighs, stopping her spell casting again for a literal second to say something -- but the blonde rushes out again, something flashing in her eyes for a moment as she runs towards Circe. The old blue frog's eyes widen, and she raises her cane to send another spell at Ezra, though the blonde just drops to her knees to slide on them for a moment.

After a moment -- and after narrowly dodging a spell -- Ezra manages to poke Circe with the tip of her katana, grinning whilst panting from all the running. "Hah." Circe blinks in surprise, before laughing and looking up at Ezra. "Well then! It's been ages since someone managed to get past my spells like that. When did you get so fast?"

The tall blonde shrugs, using her sweater sleeve to wipe some sweat off her forehead. "I dunno, it just naturally happened." She says, wheezing slightly when Circe hits her in the stomach. "Sit down kid, you're going to pass out."

"I'm gonna pass out if you hit me in the damned stomach again-" She manages to get out through her wheezing, holding her stomach, before eventually sitting down on a nearby rock and groaning.

Circe hums at the sight before herself, before walking over and leaning over to look at Ezra's slightly red face. "You look like shit."

The blonde huffs, rolling her eyes and draping an arm over her eyes. "Oh fuck off old woman." Circe just chuckles at her response, before backing away and turning around. "Very well then. I suppose you don't wish to learn magic after all." With those words, Ezra shoots up into a sitting position, nearly falling off the rock she was sitting on as her green eyes snap over towards the old frog.

"Wait, were you actually going to teach me magic?"

"Yup. After showing me what you're capable of, I figure you have a willpower to learn a couple spells."

"WOOOO!! черт возьми, да!!
(translation: "hell yeah!!")

Circle rolls her eyes, though a small smile forms on her face at the blondes enthusiasm. "Well, you're excited." The blue frog comments, as Ezra chuckles, quickly toning down her happiness as she rubs the back of her neck. "Hehe..."

~another timeskip because my braincells are slowly dying~

It's been a few hours at this rate, and Circe has been trying to teach Ezra a spell. But, unfortunately, the blonde just seems to fail every time.

"Проклятье! This is bullshit! Stupid, fuckin', magic-" Ezra curses, glaring at the makeshift wand Circe gave her, saying magic typically needs something to channel into.

Circe silently stands off to the side, watching Ezra struggle with the spell, before walking over and patting the blonde's shoulder. (she really just ended up patting her elbow, Circe is sHoRt-)

"You'll get it eventually -- I didn't get a spell right on my first try either." The old frog attempts to comfort Ezra, but the girl just groans, throwing the wand on the ground. "Yeah, but I'm not doing anything magic-like! Maybe humans just can't do magic." Circe sighs at the taller girls ranting, before picking up the wand and examining it.

"I'm sure you can. It doesn't matter your species after all, you just need the willpower and patience to learn." The blue frog says, offering the wand back to the tall blonde. However, the girl just shakes her head, rubbing her temple. "I'm done for the night. It's already night, and I'm too tired to deal with that."

Circe sighs, but nods nevertheless, turning back towards the hut and walking inside. Ezra silently follows, sitting on the couch after, just laying face first on the slightly uncomfortable couch.

Circe hums, but walks into the kitchen to begin dinner, setting her cane against the counter.

After a bit, Ezra sits down and eats what Circe made for dinner, her legs crossed under her in the chair. The dinner is surprisingly quiet, considering Ezra normally ends up annoying Circe during dinner. But the blonde is...silent.

"Alright, what's wrong?" Circe asks after a moment, narrowing her green eyes at Ezra's own green eyes - which seems to be duller than usual. The blonde quickly looks away from her plate -- which she's barely eaten anything from. "Huh..? Oh, I'm fine. Just thinking."

"What's on your mind kid?"

"Nothing important."

"Judging by your tone, it's very important to you. Just tell me what's wr-"

"I'm worried, okay?!" The blonde suddenly says in a louder tone, slamming her hands on the table and furrowing her eyebrows. "I don't know where any of my friends are, I'm in some other world away from my family, I keep getting my hopes up for things that I thought would make this more liveable for however long I'll be stuck here, but no! My luck is just making everything go wrong, and I worry that Marcy might be hurt, along with Anne or Sasha!"

Ezra rants, a flash of orange overtaking her eyes at the end of her ranting. It disappears after however, but Circe definitely noticed the flash of color. (oooo, gem powers showing up already? 👀)

Circe sighs, before standing up and walking to stand beside Ezra -- who's now on the verge of tears. "I understand your frustration kid. I can get that, being away from your most trusted people. Here, in the coming weeks, we'll train more and pack. I'll take you to find these friends of yours." The old frog offers, the blonde's eyes snapping towards her.

"...Are you serious...? Will you actually do that for me?" Ezra asks quietly, as the blue frog beside her nods, giving her a genuine smile. The tall blonde quickly drops to her knees, hugging Circe quietly, something she hasn't done in awhile. "Thank you Circe..."

"It's no problem." Circe responds, awkwardly patting Ezra's shoulder in the hug. The rest of the night continues like usual, but Ezra as a certain pep in her step, excited about the thought of going to find her friends. Especially Marcy.

Though, in the distance, a howl can be heard, then a flash of orange, before a giant creature that looks like something akin to a wolf appears on the edge of a cliff.

It's gaze locks onto the hut, before snarling, and it silently slinks into the darkness once more.
