Nobody's POV:

A certain blue newt was walking through the walls of the floating castle, before coming across Dez attempting to figure out what a random tapestry in the hallway meant, tapping their chin with their index finger. "What could this mean...Mm..."

Andrias sighs, before offering a forced smile and a nod for a bow. "Hello my lord. May I question what you're doing?" The newt questions, as Dez glances over, all 10 of their eyes blinking in confusion. "Huh? Oh- Hello Andrias! We were just trying to figure out what this tapestry is."

Andrias glances at the painting, narrowing his eyes in thought, before shrugging. "I have no idea I'm afraid, this is a new addition that I was unaware of." He explains, putting his hands behind his back as he looks back at the tall blonde. "Is it? That would explain a lot...Though now I'm hungry. To the kitchen!" Dez announces, before turning on their heel and walking down the hallway, Andrias sighing and slowly following to make sure they don't burn anything down.

Ezra's been staring at a wall for atleast 30 minutes now, ignoring the sounds of crying in the background. She's seated in a dark room, almost a basement of sorts, a cage sitting in the middle with a child, no more than 5, barely 6, with long and messy blonde hair that's knotted to hell and back. Cuts and scars litter the child, handcuffs turning the girl's wrists raw and red.

'Ignore it. Ignore it.'

The blonde repeats in her head, her nails digging into her biceps as she glares at the wall. She would rather not see her pathetic 5 year old self, now would she?

Eventually, her attention is torn from the wall as a tall female comes walking down into the 'basement,' long black hair cascading down her back and a ring on every finger. Despite the woman's kind appearance at first glance, her voice is anything but kind.

"What did I say about crying so loudly?! I can hear you over my show, useless brat!"

She flinches at the tone, even if she's not actively in this exact situation again, the time still affecting her. She notices small her freezing in place, a small hiccup escaping her as she quickly scrambles to the farthest corner of the cage to avoid the woman.

"I-I'm sorry auntie!- I-I'll be quiet, I swear-"

"That's not good enough. Do I need to take your dinner away too?! Shut. Up."

She clenches her jaw, watching the woman she used to call her aunt hit the cage, threatening to starve her as a child even more.

She blinks, and suddenly she's back in the black room she's spent most of her time in, and she sighs. Standing up, she looks around, noticing an old ass looking newt in the distance. "...K then." She whispers to herself, her voice hoarse from not speaking as she walks towards the newt, the 10 eyes on his face -- much like the core's -- watching her move.

Her eyes narrow, and she stops walking 10 feet away from the newt, crossing her arms. "..What? Have you come to annoy me more? Make me witness more shit?" She hisses, watching the newt just sigh and intertwine his hands. "No, I've simply come to see if you've changed your mind. I can still give you this amazing experience."

She makes a faint 'tsk' sound at his words, her nails digging into her arms as she glares at him. "I'm not doing shit." The newt shakes his head, before the scenery suddenly changes, showing a rooftop. She immediately recognizes this rooftop, it being the one on the building beside her house, the same roof her and Marcy often hung out on.

Said noirette comes running through the doors with a wide grin, running up to the blonde and quickly taking one of her hands. "Ezzie! You'll never guess what happened-" 'Marcy' says excitedly, but her grin seems fake. Her eyes lifeless.

Ezra huffs, snatching her hand from 'Marcy's' own, and turning to look at the newt who keeps annoying her in this stupid headspace of hers. "Seriously? Trying to bribe me with her? That's a cheap move asshole." She grumbles, glancing back at 'Marcy,' who disappears in a pixelated form.

"I should've figured that wouldn't have worked..." The newt says with a sigh, before noticing Ezra glaring at him again. "You never told me your name you know." He huffs, before speaking again. "I am Aldrich, my dear."

Ezra felt her entire body stiffen at being called 'my dear,' memories from her "aunt" flooding back to her. "...Don't call me that. Ever." She hisses, her fists clenching at her sides as Aldrich hums. "If you say so. Now, will you finally accept my deal? Let me take you to a better place." He says, offering a wrinkly hand, to which Ezra's scoffs.

"I'm not going anywhere if it's not back into my own body in control, so I can see the real Marcy." She says in a stern tone, and the newt in front of her just sighs. "Then suffer." He says bluntly, as the scenery fades again into black.

But, not before being changed into a different scene, one she knew all to well. The day, she nearly died.

In front of her, sat her aunt and her, but at 10 now, exactly on her birthday. Her aunt was forcing her head into the tub which was filled with freezing cold water.

"You embarrassed me in front of [REDACTED]! You were supposed to stay hidden!"

The noirette hisses at the blonde, still with messy semi-long hair, though it's shorter than before.

"I was hung-"

Small her attempts to speak, only to be cut off by a gag as she gets another mouthfull of water, her 'aunt' forcing her head into the tub.

"You eat when you're fed, brat!"

Ezra stiffens at the scene in front of her, her green eyes locked on the sight, her breathing slowly becoming erratic.

"No...Nonononono- ну давай же.." She mutters, backing against the door to the bathroom, before turning around and aggressively attempting to open the door.

(translation: "come on..")

"Let me out- Come on, let me out!" She yells to no one, tears welling in her eyes as she punches the door, attempting to open it.

The scenery changes again, but instead of black, it's water, the blonde quickly slapping a hand over her mouth to avoid swallowing any, squirming to try and find air.

'К черту это!-'

(translation: "To hell with this!")

She quickly takes off swimming in a random direction, only for the scenery to change a third time, as she falls to the ground, the black room back to normal.

She coughs up some water, holding her chest as she stares at the ground with wide, tear filled eyes, said tears slowly beginning to roll down her cheeks. She eventually just collapses against the ground, rolling onto her back as she stares at the 'ceiling.'

"...This is fucking bullshit..." She mutters between quiet sobs, not even trying to stop the tears. Why should she? She's stuck in her own head as this core uses her body for god knows what, and now she's being forced to relive memories she hates?

She might as well be living through hell.
