Minho

I groaned and stretched my body lightly. Opening my eyes slowly I found the sun rays filling across the room through the big windows. I shifted slightly which resulted in me hissing in pain.

Man, it hurted like hell. Maybe it's because it had been long ever since I had anal. I stilled and decided to take my time to get up. My head wondered around as I saw him.

He was fixing his tie while looking in the mirror. His eyes caught sight of me through the mirror but he continued his work.

"Where are you going?" I asked. My voice unusually soft. "Work obviously." He spoke dryly. I frowned lightly. He finally turned to me with his usual cold expression.

"I hope your assistant is coming to pick you up because I don't have any time to waste on that." I scoffed.

"So you're that type of a guy." He raised his brow. "What type of a guy?"

"Pretend- it didn't happen- guy?" Chan scoffed and walked closer to the door. "You think you have any right to call me that? Have you seen yourself?" He spoke and exited the door.

He's right. I'm that type of a guy. I always do this. Whomever I fuck with, I just leave as if nothing happened. But... how does he know this?

---

"So you're hurt by his act?" Seungmin spoke while he poured some water for me. I hesitated. "I-I don't know. I honestly don't know what to feel about this. Maybe I am. Or maybe it's just that my ego is hurt."

Seungmin shook his head as he passed me the glass of water.

"It's you that's hurt." I sighed and kept the glass on the table. He's right. I am hurt.

"But I don't care. If that's what he wants to go with, that's what I'll do." I do care.

---

How can I forget I have to face him again?

I was sitting in his meeting room with some of my workers combined with his. Only he was late. I was getting impatient as I turned to his assistant.

"You see this is very unprofessional of your boss to be this late. We have other things to do. He should know the world doesn't revolve around him." I spoke coldly.

The assistant apologized for the fourth time now and rest of his workers remained silent having no comeback to defend him.

We waited another minute as he finally walked in. I heard some sighs of relief. Not one from me. He casually sat down. "We can start." I rolled my eyes. Not even down for an apology.

I and the head of the marketing department from my team were discussing something as our another team member presented the design we prepared on the screen.

"But," Someone interrupted my employee in between as I looked towards the man. 'Head Finance Department' the label in front of him displayed. "I think those," he said pointing towards a design.

"Would be unnecessary. Mr Lee," He turned his head towards me. "The design is impressive, no doubt about that. But have you considered the cost? These materials and intricate designs will push our budget way over the limit. We ran the numbers, and the initial cost will increase by at least 15%. That's a significant hit to our margins." He spoke in a warning tone.

I raised a brow. "Mr, I understand the financial constraints, but cutting back on quality materials will compromise the design's integrity, not to mention the company's also. We've done our research, and our customers expect premium quality from us. Would you not like that?" I said a little frustrated.

"We're not a charity, Mr. Lee. We need to stay profitable." He fired back.

I shook my head and scoffed. "I think you don't see Mr, this new design not only elevates the company's aesthetics but also improves user experience."

One other interfered. "Maybe we can prioritize which features are essential for design and which can be scaled back or introduced later?"

I was about to speak but Han spoke on behalf of me. "The design won't have the same impact if we start removing key elements. We need to launch strong, make a statement. The initial investment will pay off." I nodded in satisfaction and waited for the other to speak.

The Head of the Financial Department looked over to Chan as if trying to find some support. "I get that, but from a financial perspective, we need to be cautious. What about the potential risk of not meeting our sales targets with these higher costs? The future products will be affected, sir." He spoke to Chan.

Before Chan could speak I interrupted. "Mr, do you know for how long the old designs of the company has not been changed?" He raised a brow not understanding my question. "No I certainly do not. But that-"

"Would you like to tell them, Mr. Bang?" I said gesturing towards Chan. His expression remained unchanged as he spoke on a low and deep voice. "Probably since father was my age."

"Exactly." I turned to the man again. "So, you think you can attract more employees and customers while working in the 80s design?" He remained silent. I tried to push his buttons even more.

"Certainly," I paused and kept the pen in my hand on the table and continued. "If you would want that we should make it into the 80s aesthetic, I would be glad to do that." I said in a little sarcastic tone.

I might sound mean but I never compromise when it comes to money. "And I don't personally think you should be worrying about the cost. Your boss is ready to bear it. In fact, triple of it. Isn't it Mr. Bang?"

Chan exhaled in frustration and looked over to the man I've had my arguments with. "Whatever loss this may cause, I'll bear it in future. Put it under my name." I smiled in satisfaction as the meeting continued.

The time faded after that. No one interrupted the meeting as my team continued to show the design. I couldn't help it.

My eyes kept on glancing towards Chan. His half lidded eyes have always attracted me. But now that I know what he is hiding inside the cover he's wearing, I can't help but imagine it again.

The flashbacks started hitting me. I helped myself and snapped out of my thoughts and tried to focus again.

Maybe another one. I glanced again as his eyes suddenly contacted mine. I quickly turned away and looked at the screen. Shit.
