Ghost gasped as he looked at Price, Soap, Gaz and Konig. The five have just got back to base after a very long mission. "I missed mine and Y/ns anniversary." Ghost sighed as he looked down.

His husband had spent so much time in his anniversary present and not only did Ghost forget, he was on a mission so he couldn't even show up.

Soap frowned as he looked at Ghost. "Hey don't worry pal. I'm sure Y/n will understand." Soap chuckled nervously.

The others glared at him.

Price shook his head. "He's your husband Ghost. He loves you. And it's just one anniversary. We all have a week off. You have that whole time to spend and make it up to him." Price said gently.

But it wasn't just the anniversary. Because of Ghosts job as Lieutenant and him being in the 141, he's rarely ever home, and he barely gets to spend time with his husband.

Ghost continued to look down. "Yes, but that's the fourth anniversary I've missed. And the last one I did even bother to text him and let him know I couldn't make it."

Ghost looked like he wanted to cry, his voice starting to crack as he started getting overwhelmed with guilt. "He deserves better than this. I-i- he deserves someone who will come home and have dinner with him, or maybe go to sleep with him! Hell, I don't think we have spent more than five minutes together in the past two weeks."

The group all looked at each other. "Ghost don't say that. Y/n loves you." Konig said.

"But why? I'm never around, I always leave for missions without telling him first, I-i-" Ghost closed his eyes as tears started rolling down his face. "What if one day he stops? What if he realizes how shitty I am and he leaves me?"

Price rolled his eyes. "Now stop it. That's not true Ghost. Your perfect for Y/n." Price said.

Gaz nodded. "Yeah Mate. Now come on, let's get you home." Gaz said as he headed to the truck.

No one could see Ghost crying because of the skull mask.

"What if I come home and he isn't even there? Or worse, he's packed up his stuff and left? He's probably got someone better in line waiting to come and take my place. I don't blame him." Ghost said, before wiping tears from his eyes and following Gaz to the truck.

Soap rolled his eyes. "Nah your over reacting LT. He loves ya. He's gonna be there." Soap said as everyone got into the truck.

Everyone was concerned. Ghost isn't usually this vulnerable.

Ghost sighed, he hated how vulnerable they all were seeing him now. Ghost was a proud man, he didn't like anyone to see his vulnerable side.

After a while, the truck pulls up outside Ghost's house. Ghost looks at all his friends, before getting out and walking to his front door.

Konig rolled his eyes under his mask. "OK enough." Konig said before knocking on the door. "How could you even lose your key?" Price asked, looking at Ghost.

Ghost just shrugged awkwardly. He'd just finished a 16 hour mission, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't tired and confused.

But despite how tired he was, he wouldn't dare sleep until he saw his husband. If his husband was there still, that js.

"Just be quiet when he opens the door. I don't wanna wake him if he's sleeping." Ghost mumbled to Price as he heard the door start to unlock from the other side.

Y/n yawned as he opened the door. "Yeah? It's 3am." Y/n stopped as he saw his husband and the others. Y/n rolled his eyes and slammed the door shut.

Ghost's eyes widened as the door was slammed shut in his face. He frowned a little, he was confused. Why had his husband slammed the door shut?
