Ghost was pacing the medbay. His mind was spiralling as he looked at the medics rushing over Y/n ans trying to fix him up.

Price placed a comforting hand on Ghosts shoulder. "He's strong. He's gonna be OK. He's gonna wake up." Price said softly.

Ghost clenched his fists. "What if he's not? What if he never wakes up? I might never get to tell him I love him." Ghost said quietly.

Soap looked at Ghost softly. "You will pal. He's a tough one. He'll pull through." Soap said.

Gaz and Keegan nodded as he Konig smiled under his mask.

"See. And we are all gonna be here to support you Simon." Price said.

Ghost clenched his fists and squeezed his eyes shut. "I just feel so useless. I was supposed to protect him and now he's here. He could be." Ghosts voice trembled as he trailed off.

"You're not useless." Soap said, wrapping his arms around Ghost. "You did everything you could and now we just have to wait."

Keegan shook his head. "Ghost, you did everything you could. You both were hanging of the edge. He only fell a little." Keegan trailed off. Price and Gaz glared at Keegan who wasn't helping right now.

Ghost pushed Soap away and glared at Keegan. "It should have been me. I was right there. If I had caught him then he would be fine." His voice trembled slightly.

Gaz and Price exchanged looks as they knew they had to diffuse the situation before it escalated.

Y/n laid in the hospital bed. He had a breathing machine and he was pretty banged up. The doctors were rushing around wildly.

Ghost watched from the corner of the room as the medical experts swarmed around Y/n. He clenched his fists, watching the rise and fall of the breathing machine. His eyes never left Y/n's face, searching for any sign of movement.

The medics all pulled away as everyone went quiet. "I'm gonna turn the machine off. If he doesn't breath without it then." The medic trailed off, looking at the 141.

Ghosts breath caught in his throat. He felt as though his heart stopped. He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

Price and Soap exchanged looks before stepping forward.

"Do it." Price said, his voice betraying the fear he was trying to hide.

The medic nodded as he carefully turned the machine off.

Y/n didn't move.

Ghosts heart sunk. This couldn't be happening. He couldn't lose Y/n. A lump formed in his throat as he stared at Y/ns motionless form.

Gaz and Keegan stood quietly by the door, their expressions filled with concern. Soap had his head in his hands, silently praying for a miracle. Price just stared at Y/ns face, hoping for a sign.

Y/ns chest rose and fell.

Ghosts breath hitched as he witnessed Y/ns chest rise and fall. He didn't dare to breath, as if that would jinx it.

Price and Soap exchanged looks, unable to hide the relief in their expressions. Gaz and Keegan shared a look, silently celebrating.

Y/ns fingers twitched slightly as he heard voices.

Ghost immediately noticed the movement in Y/ns fingertips, his eyes widened. "He's waking up."

Price and Soap rushed to Y/ns bedside along with Gaz and Keegan. They all waited, silently watching in anticipation.
