GXB: Birthday Party

Today is my bestfriend's birthday and of course he invited me.

"Hey, bro, happy birthday!" Bati ko at tinapik ang likod niya.

He gave me a wide smile and hugged me back. "Thanks for coming, bro. I told you, you don't need to give me a gift." Aniya pero kinuha rin naman yon.

Randall's birthday party starts at exactly 6PM at their house. Nasa business trip kasi ang dad niya at ang stepmom lang niya ang naiwan sa bahay kaya pinayagan siya na dito na lang sa malaki nilang bahay mag-celebrate. It's a pool party with drinks, games, and girls of course. Unfortunately, all the girls that Randall invited are taken.

"Hello, tita." Bati ko sa stepmom ni Randall at nakipagbeso rito.

Randall's stepmom is only 26 years old, 4 years lang ang tanda sa aming magkakaibigan. His father on the other hand is already 43 years old. That's why sometimes, it's a little bit awkward to talk formally with his stepmom because of the little age gap. And she also sometimes feel and act like a friend around us.

"Oh hi, Blake." She greeted back and I was a little taken aback when she pulled me for a quick hug but I just shrugged it off and went back to the party.

The whole party is a blast, everyone's having fun and drinking. Ayoko sanang maligo sa pool dahil masyadong malamig ang tubig pero tinulak na ako ng birthday boy.

"Wala akong dalang damit, bro!" Giit ko pagkaahon sa tubig.

Tumawa siya at tumuro sa loob ng bahay niya. "You can borrow mine, but let's enjoy this first!"

Mas lumakas pa ang tugtog at ang hiyawan ng mga bisita. We were all dancing in the pool, laughing, and playing beer pong.

"Shot, shot, shot!" Sabi nila sa akin matapos kong maishoot ang bola sa baso na may alak.

Of course I drank it all and went back to the game.

At exactly 12AM, everyone's already changing to their clothes and drunk. Since Randall's house is huge, we won't be having a problem with drunk driving dahil lahat kami ay may sari-sariling guest room na tutulugan.

Matapos ko umahon sa pool ay napaupo ako sa pool lounge dahil nakaramdam ako ng kaunting hilo. I think I drank too much alcohol.

Hindi ko na namalayan na nakaidlip pala ako ron. When I woke up, there's no one around except the mess we made from the party. Napayakap pa ako sa sarili ko nang maramdaman ko ang malamig na hangin dahil wala pa akong suot na pang-itaas.

My hair is completely dry now. Ganoon ba ako katagal nakatulog?

Babangon na sana ako ngunit nakaramdam muli ako nang pagkaliyo at nang muli sana akong mahihiga ay may biglang nagbalot ng towel sa katawan ko.

With my sleepy and weary eyes, I looked behind me to see who it was and I was surprised to see Randall's stepmom standing behind me while wearing her long fluffy bathrobe.

"You shouldn't sleep here unless you want to catch a cold." Aniya at tinulungan ako tumayo.

"Sorry, tita. I accidentally fell asleep."

"Let's go inside. Tulog na silang lahat, you should change and go to sleep too." Lumakad na kami papasok sa bahay habang nakapulupot pa rin ang towel na hawak niya sa akin.

I'm still super drowsy. Umiikot ang paningin ko at naduduling ako sa bawat hakbang, good thing Randall's stepmom is here to help me.

She also helped me to go upstairs where I almost tripped.

"Careful..." She whispered in a soft voice which sent tingles down my spine.

When we finally reached the bedroom, I couldn't help but to just toss my whole body on the bed.
